The flexible ducts are still available from GM, any dealer parts place should be able to order them for you.
The new ones are a bit more durable vinyl but fine if you're not going for judging.
About $30 each list price but that depends on your parts man.

This is a 79, I'm pretty sure it's basically the same as 82 except it's single wire. Later had a seperate ground wire.
Anyway, the switch is the little cylinder by the C clip. A mercury switch.
Per request, here's what I have.....
1. SOLD...The AM/FM/CB mentioned in my other thread.
2. SOLD......NOS 79-82 AM/FM Slimline. Dated 86.This is NOT the 'GM service replacement' often sold as correct for these years. I THINK it may actually be correct for 81/82. Black housing, not beige...
I agree. In wet conditions, you say you have a leak, the steel bolt has a tendency to seize to the aluminum. In your case the thermostat housing.
You may have no choice but to snap the heads off the bolts and then try breaking the "weld" between the bolt and the housing by prying the housing up...

My black79 came from the factory with 8track, dealer...
I remember my 71 Nova. Took the stock air cleaner and cut both the top and bottom along the circle that the filter element went to. Sounded great. Too cheap to just buy one back then!
I also was one of those guys to flip the lid upside down on my 69 GTO.
Neither car had any factory cold air...
The slots were for either 8tracks or cassettes(sideways)and only there if the Vette was originally equipted with either radio.
AM/FM or AM/FM/CB didn't get the slots, not even the mounting holes for them(actually 2 different glove boxes, holes for slots and no holes).
