Rebuilding the crossfire & building it up

That's actually the VAFPR I used. Most people used that one. I had AN fittings. My setup looked a bit like a "bundle of snakes" because I used all braided lines rather than bending stuff. The bent hard lines make for a cleaner install. I cleaned up the 13301 install after these pics. The...

Rebuilding the crossfire & building it up

I'm afraid you really don't have a choice on that. I tried it with same size injectors and staggering 80/90#s. You don't have this issue w a dual pod TBI like those found in TBI trucks. But because of the individual TBs on the Xfire, it becomes a necessity. Running in parallel then requires an...

Rebuilding the crossfire & building it up

Unless you parallel plumb the TBIs, it will be difficult to use the 80#s. As you know, the Xfire uses staggered size injectors due to the drop in FP between front and rear TBs. GM didn't have a larger set of injectors that could mimic that stagger and flow more fuel. So the fuel supply needs to...

    Transmissions: richmond vs Tremec

WP, you'll love how good the ZF will feel. It's how the 84 should have been built in the first place. C5 brakes also belong on that car.

    1992 Performance computer chip

I don't think Hib's questions are out of line or "bigoted" given the claims being made.

Is a C7 Corvette ZR1 Truly Off the Radar?

Looks to me as GM may be interested in building a family of Corvettes. The days of the domestic market being the driver for vehicle design is over. GM continues to be much more internationally focused and so vehicle platforms will be designed more and more w that in mind. Besides, if you make...

Is a C7 Corvette ZR1 Truly Off the Radar?

Very possible, but if GM is in fact thinking a "super-Vette", then the experience and credibility gained from racing a mid-engine platform would be invaluable as it has proven to be so using the C5/C6 platforms in ALMS and LeMans.

    Monee il. 1/2mi.

WGF last June was a bit cool. Turns out Saturday was a better day than Sunday. Probably one of the reasons they moved it to later in the month. I wish I had owned a coffee and donut truck. Could have made a killing on Sunday. And it really didn't warm up either. I hope they use a staging lane...

    Monee il. 1/2mi.

Too bad we'll miss you at the 1/2mile. I went to the Michigan Mile event last year. Didn't think it was very well organized. Told us it started on Friday at noon but when I got there no one knew anything about it. Don't know how the rest of the weekend went.

    Start your engines...

Boy do I agree with that. Stock car racing was exciting. NASCAR is NHRA Funny Cars that turn left.

    Question: C6 wheels on C4

I am using Z06 wheels on my 92 ZR-1. Fronts are fine as is. Rears are stock w 57mm offset while the ZR uses a 36mm. I have 18mm spacers BUT also using GM racing studs. They are longer and stronger. Make sure the spacer is BOTH hub and wheel centric. A good source for spacer/adapters is...

I didn't say buy it, I said drive it. And it's not any more expensive than a 7 series is.

If you haven't yet, test drive a Tesla S. See what linear torque delivery feels like.
