Why the Corvette will be successful and why you don't like it.

Can I ask how your comment of "Obama Motors" has any relevance to the discussion of the C7? In your opinion, how has it manifested itself in the design and engineering of the C7? "European motor?", "European interior?". What exactly is "European" about it? :eyerole

My Impressions: 2014 C7 Corvette Stingray

Not to distract for your great write up,(I think the C7 is awesome. If only it was DOHC) but we had about 23 ZRs in the parking lot with a variety of displacements from 350-441 and all manner of wheel/tire/brake combos. Great bunch of guys. BTW, we're also getting ready for 1/2mile airstrip...

    84 Corvette oil cooler

The only "oil cooler" my 84 Z51 4+3 came with was a trans oil cooler. It was one of the first 4+3 trans built which was in Dec. '83. I ordered the car in March and the 4+3 kept getting pushed back due to reliability issues I would become too familiar with later.

    Question about ZF 6 speed

ZF-6. I did a conversion on my 84 Xfire from a 4+3 to the 6 speed. Also installed the Hurst short throw at that time.get a black label if you have a choice. Stouter gears although a bit more noisy due to the square cut. Sort of like the old M22 Rock Crushers. Just make sure you don't buy a ZF...

Nor should they receive the same wage and benefits which the union bargained for.

UAW stunned by Michigan right-to-work bills

"If a union is providing a valuable service to its constituents, they should have no problem maintaining membership. But, if the service is not worth the cost of the union dues, they may have to look at their business plan, to make the provided service worth the cost." jehecox, For the...

UAW stunned by Michigan right-to-work bills

Catbert, why do you think the Republicants don't do anything about immigration reform? Their constituencies depend on illegal workers and it helps drive down wages and union membership.

    Latest 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Renderings

Really???? I wasn't the one that injected politics into this in the first place. I hope you pointed that out to everyone in this thread. Like this post "So far all pics I've seen are disappointing. The concept car previewed last year as the new Stingray with rear split window and dramatic new...

UAW stunned by Michigan right-to-work bills

What's absolutely galling is to watch a guy like Jaime Dimon, CEO for JP Morgan, sitting there saying that we just can't afford these "entitlements" anymore. His bank was one that got $xxxx billion dollar bailout that came out of the pockets of the very people who now need to reduce their...

UAW stunned by Michigan right-to-work bills

Quite a bit misleading and just plain wrong w this post. Here's just one fact regarding wages: RTW laws lower wages for union and non-union workers by an average of $1,500 a year and decrease the likelihood employees will get health insurance or pensions through their jobs. By lowering...

UAW stunned by Michigan right-to-work bills

I haven't seen or heard anything that suggests the Federal government would be involved in any overturning of the MI law. After all, there are ~23 other states w "Right to Work for Less" laws. I don't see any litigation going on in Indiana as an example. When Wisconsin attempted the same, Obama...
