    Parting out a 1981 Vette

Not sure about that part yet. I will get it broken down in a couple of weeks so we can see those parts and make sure they are good.

    Parting out a 1981 Vette

Okay, now I understand. I prefer to hold off on breaking into the doors yet. I will be pulling the glass to save for my car, so I may pull the lock stuff at that time. The steering wheel is bent. The knock sensor is availalbe. Do you need it shipped to Germany? We could do $10 for the...

    Parting out a 1981 Vette

How about $10 for the power window switches plus $2.50 shipping. Not sure what you mean for door lock mechanisms? The other items are either spoken for or damaged.

Fixed it! I forgot I had done that. I don't ever look at my own avatar/member profile

    Parting out a 1981 Vette

It has them all in decent condition. I don't know what they are worth. Shoot me a pm with what ever you are thinking $$$ wise and we will see what we can do.

    Parting out a 1981 Vette

Brian, The only problem on wheels is shipping is expensive. Not sure if it would be a good deal for you unless you know somebody in the N.E. Florida area that would pick them up.

    Parting out a 1981 Vette

Hmmmmm. I think there is a rear diff just begging to be ripped out of this car. Plenty of sunshine this afternoon....where were you??? LOL!

    Parting out a 1981 Vette

Joe, I just sold the door panels off the car, so it will be a good time to start yanking the mirrors. The bolts are not too hard to reach AFTER the door panel is removed. I am going to hold off on the temp gauge as I think I may pull all of those as a cluster. Color wise????? The car...

    Parting out a 1981 Vette

They are kind of silver smoke looking. They may be spoken for. I am waiting to see.

    Parting out a 1981 Vette

Robin, I really don't know if it will or not. I have to get a look under there and see what is different than the older ones. I do know this one has an aluminum Dana 44 diff vs. your cast iron unit. I will check it out.

    Parting out a 1981 Vette

Good question. These mirrors are beige colored. I would guess it would make more sense to just transfer the entire mirror and repaint it than to just switch the guts. I have installed power mirrors in cars that did not come with them (not a Vette-I did an S-10 and a couple of Fieros), by...

    Parting out a 1981 Vette

Hey guys, I just picked up an 81 Vette with 111K. It was whacked in the front (no good front end parts). Items of interest: 1. Mirrored T-tops 2. A/C (all complete less the condensor) 3. Complete stock computer controlled carb, wire harness, etc 4. All engine brackets (pwr steering...

Floor Pan ? Repair or Replace

I think it would be great if you could find a fiberglass floor from an older one and bond it in there. Otherwise, you have to patch, fill, weld, grind, and pretty much do all you can do. Then, coat it in POR15 and maybe top that off with truck bed liner spray and let it ride.

    Heater Core replacment ??

So, how many screws did you have left over? Great news, now you can use that heater!

    327 Heads

I have a pair of 327 heads off our 23 T-bucket. I need to get them sold to help pay for other items on the project. They do not have hardened seats. I will post the casting numbers and pictures later. We can figure out a price after I figure out exactly what they are.

    Need A Picture....

You can go to websites like Pargons or ZIP. Often there are pictures there. The MAD catalogs have great diagrams of bumper parts...etc, that allow you to see what is behind there. Also, an assembly manual will put you right where you need to be. Basically there is a vertical brace that comes...

    1969 Vette -- questions before I buy...

What is the condition of the VIN tag in the windshield frame? Is it even there anymore, rusted to oblivion, ?????? The rust you see in the front where the hood opens is the radiator core support. That will cost you about $350 plus some paint and an afternoon to swap it out. The rust in the...

    Header Installation

Ah....the joy of headers. I recommend the stage 8 bolts. However, they will still give you a fit. You will see what I mean when you start to put them in. Just make sure you have a grinder handy. You may find that you have to shorten one or two of the bolts to clear the bend in the header...
