    convertible top removal

Dave, If the car will be left in storage all winter then it is best to just leave the conv top up and latched as normal and put the hardtop in storage. These tops are a real pain to remove as an assembly and then get back in place correctly adjusted when you want to us it again. If you...

Another upgrade on my new brakes

Norval, I am amazed at the amount of weight that you cut out of the rotors up to this point. It will be very interesting to see the total weight after all the holes are drilled and the hats are installed. This is great stuff. Keep all the pics and info coming. We all love your engineering...

My brakes are bigger then yours

Wow! Those are huge, Norval. I can't wait to see the finished product all assembled with the larger hat and all the lightening work done. What kind of calipers are you going to use? Where did you manage to get a rotor that size with no hat builts into it? Take care, Brian

Pictures of the finished roll cage

It looks fantastic Norval. You did a great job of making it "blend" into the interior. I can't wait to see pics of the car from outside with all the doors closed. The cage should be nearly invisible. Too cool.

    C-2 Frame repair shops??

Kurt, I don't think that the new frame will "hurt the value" of your car. Any new part that is the exact replacement for any original part can only enhance the car due to it's superior condition. I think that you analysis that it is better do get a new frame is good. I personally, would...

    C-2 Frame repair shops??

Kurt, For what it's worth, have you looked into getting a brand new frame from these folks? http://www.vetteproducts.net/ The frames are made from the original GM stamping dies and are exact replicas. If I need a serious frame repair on my next project, I will invest in one of these...

Finished the passengers side of the cage tonight

Hi Norval, It looks great. You have really put a lot of thought into getting the assembly to be quite ergonomic and not very easy to see from outside the car. This should stiffen up the car quite a bit. I like all the custom fittings that you made for the tubing ends on the swing outs...nice...

    1977 power windows

If they are slow going up but not bad going down it could be the assist spring that is on the power window regulator. They can snap and fall off into the bottom of the door causing the poor lift speed due to no spring assistance. Happened to both windows on my wife's '78 Hope his helps:)...
