Jim,
I have used several tri-carb setups in my time. Some were very much hot rod setups with full mechanical linkage, usually set up in progressive fashion.
I have also owned or restored several 400 and 435hp tri-power setups. Years ago I tuned many of these type of cars and set some up for...
Kid,
It is never too late. There is always someone looking for a good small block to transplant into their vette. Put it up for sale and order a big crate of "CUBIC FUN" :D
Take care,
Brian
Kid,
There was a fellow that put a Vortech on his '65 Fuelie roadster a while back. It was featured in one of the corvette mags about 2 to 3 years ago. He managed to fit it under the hood and if I remember correctly it did not affect the wheel wells either.
Take care,
Brian
Actually, I think an LS1 or LS6 with a Vortec blower or maybe a Magnuson would be a fantastic swap. Light, responsive, torgue on demand and good mileage too boot. Couple this with a 5 speed and you have a long range fun car:D
Gheez, maybe I need to go lay down 'til this passes too;LOL...
Hi Clint,
My understanding is that all of the fuel injected cars from 1963 to 65 were available with the power brake option. There are also GM photos of cars equipped this way in Noland Adams book on the 63 to 67 cars.
As to whether your particular car came with power brakes, you need to...
Barry,
Now that you have been bitten by the "Tool Bug", you will discover that there is no such thing as too many tools. It is similar to the "Never Enough Corvette Syndrome and of course tied directly to the "Need A Bigger Garage Disease"
Luckily your wife is like mine and has always...
John,
You have done a fantastic job on this vette. As others have said, your work is exemplary and faultless.
After watching your progress with this car and the stunning final result, it makes me want to build a Vette Rod too!
Very impressive! Congratulations!
Take care,
Brian
Barry,
After being unemployed for a year and investing a lot of effort in my new endeavour, I am currently on the short end of the cashflow and free time schedule:D
I have a ton of "I want to's" in the garage and hopefully will get into some of them soon. I have a real "itch" for a project...
Hi Barry,
The cover looks great. As mentioned before , nobody will ever notice when just looking at your engine compartment. The good thing it that it is solid again after welding and you can continue to enjoy driving the car without worrying.
Love reading your posts, keep going with the...
Hi Kurt,
Thanks for the input. It is unfortunate that you acquired the lights that are not of the quality that you had hoped for. This information will help others when they go to purchase a set for themselves.
Good luck in your discussions with Keen Parts
Take care,
Brian
Ray,
Do you have a spare fiberglass panel of any kind laying around in your shop? What about refinishing that panel with some of the Evercoat Gel Coat and see what you think of the product.
I agree with the thought process that the gel coat will seal the fiberglass and help insulate the...
Hi Ray,
I have only used Gel Coat (spray version from Ecklers) once in the past. It is very labour intensive from a sanding point of view. Of course I did the complete car with it to seal in all the repairs and some aging fiberglass.
However, I have not used it on all the other vettes that...
Hi Larry,
Sorry to hear that you had a real brutal day. At least you had a very bright spot in the day!
My feeling on the Corvette hobby can be summed up as follows...........
This hobby is vast and far reaching. It transcends the levels of economic difference, distance, language, race and...
