Much thanks!! :beer The way she looks now, I kinda look at my car as something they could have done as a Special Edition Model. You know, like the "Stealth" edition for '96 or something. I like to keep the car looking generation specific (but yet you look at the car and go, "there's just...

    exhuast

If both systems you're referring to have no cats then they'll sound very similar. I suppose it'll sound good but also will pop & back fire quite a bit on deceleration. You're basically talkin' straight pipes here....

Thanks! I've only dynoed it once and I believe it was 338rwhp, which equates to somewhere around 400 at the crank. It was @ a Dyno Day and all the cars their were putting down low #'s. Heck, I won 2nd place in the naturally aspirated division and that was including C5's and c6's.

Help! Need new exhuast on a BUDGET!

Ecklers or MAD I believe sell a Magnaflow setup that uses the stock tip style but, other than that, all of the aftermarket systems for LTx cars use the the dual tip design....ie, Corsa, B&B, Magnaflow, Flowmaster, Borla etc... If that look is not for you, you may be better off just cutting off...

Actually this may be taboo, but I have a detail shop that does my car 2-3x a year for $150 each visit - wash, wax, claybar, detail & engine detail. These guys are incredible and have done my car for about 3yrs now. Somebody referred me and I'm glad they did cuz I used to tweak on this thing...

Help! Need new exhuast on a BUDGET!

Magnaflow found that there is ZERO benefit in replacing the entire system back to the mufflers on a LT1/4, therefore their system is a mufflers only w/ about 2' of pipe to attach to the old pipe. The stock system is 2.75", and flows very well, so why would you want to replace it w/ let's say a...

Help! Need new exhuast on a BUDGET!

I'd recommend a Magnaflow system...you can't beat the look/sound for the price. They only make one system for the LT1/4 cars, it is part # 15623. For the absolute best price go to www.performancepeddler.com You can get it for less than $330 shipped but YOU MUST CALL THEM TO GET THAT PRICE. Tell...

Thx. :beer Believe it or not, no rubbing at all front (even w/ wheel completely turned) or rear. I'm sure the QA1 shocks do help w/ that though.

    Long Tube Headers

JEFNLSA here. :beer I just sent my PCM to Brian @ www.pcmforless.com for the re-tune. He had it back to me in a couple of days. In fact, I think it was out of the car for a total of 4 days. I also had the Hotcam put in prior to the headers so, when I sent the PCM to him, he had a list of my...

    K&N, Can't & No-way

This statement most likely added to the confusion. Reading "that" makes it sound like the problem/s you incurred happened after the filter was cleaned & re-oiled.

    K&N, Can't & No-way

Well, you didn't clarify whether this had happened due to re-oiling so I/we just assumed. I find it hard to believe to that a "new" filter, fresh out of the box & pre-oiled, would cause you these problems. If so, I'd take it up w/ K&N because all the negatives I've read in regards to K&N can be...

    K&N, Can't & No-way

Sorry to hear of your dilemma but... You're only supposed to "mist" the filter. I have 3 K&N's (which I've cleaned & re-oiled twice already) on my SLP unit and I've had no issues w/ my car. The key is not to over-oil them...as clearly stated in the instructions included in the K&N kit.
