No sir . . no problems . . .just no HEAT in the interior. And be careful when removing the heater core because the fluid will still be hot if the car has been running - - and it'll run all over the place!
Just make sure that the hose is clear of the fan blades & belts . . .

Hello Norway:
It's your heater core unit behind the passenger side dash. Suggest you disconnect the hoses in engine compartment and cut a shorter hose from water pump to intake as a by-pass.
You will need to remove the passenger side dash to gain access - -and remove your carpet & padding...
Culprit -- Interesting perspective with respect to impinging on the rights on others . . but pragmatically, it's the same argument for wearing a seatbelt or a motorcycle helmet. It may not be probable cause for the stop, but you'll earn the citation nevertheless. If you disagree with the law...

I've always been told that it's wise to unlatch both doors - -at least to the first "catch" to avoid binding or prinching the doors - -- that notion infers an awful lot of body flex that I doubt really exists even if the lift points aren't raised together. But I've never unlatched the t-tops...
Ted:
I started with a high pressure sprayer, then a putty knife to scrape grease and general crud off the frame - - -I then used a variety of wire brush attachments inside the fender wells and on the frame to get down to clean surfaces. Here in AZ rust is less of an issue, so I simply used...
I might guess that the `72 would hold greater collector interest as the final year of dual chrome bumpers and absence of pollution controls and accordingly, a greater value.
Unfortunately, I've never owned one -- have had 73-4-5-- but was always attacted to the chrome bumper beasts. Just my...
With all deference to the Stallion, my current 74 is stainless along the center bar of the t-top - - chrome at the four anchor points of each top.

Indeed, the visible VIN should be located half way up the driver's windshield pillar and should read something like 1Z37J5S4xxxxx for an L-48 coupe. Corvette historically glued a copy of the manufacturers shipping order/build sheet to the top of the fuel tank under the rear deck but it's dubious...

I've always been a big fan of JEG'S since the days we lived back in Columbus Ohio. They seem to have an excellent range of parts and prices with good tech support via phone or e-mail:

Hello and welcome to the Board !
Ecklers and a number of the other Corvette aftermarket parts suppliers seem to offer a variety of options- largely dictated by the size of your checkbook. Most revolve around an updated head-end - - digital, satellite w/cd-- a power amp and speakers including...
Certainly not very "user friendly" are they ?? It would certainly seem that should have been better engineered.....thank goodness it doesn't need regular replacement !

Sezar-- Welcome to the Board !
Check E-Bay for Recaro's . . . another option is to look at later model Corvette seats that have the right seat height - - -I put in a set of black 79-82 to get a more "custom' look with factory Vette stuff - - provides better lateral support too.
Is it summer...
Thanks Robin - -glad you, your bride and your toys survived the storms !
