    solder should work fine, make sure to paint it! haha i try to paint all the parts i take off.

    Assembly Instructional Manual also know as AIM. you can get them off ebay or part providers. They also sell it on cd for $40.

    ya i figured i would have to resolve to a sawzall. so there werent a set amount of shims on each side? shouldnt it be the same amount on all the cars?

    So does anyone know a secret to getting the trailing arm bolt out? i'de rather not use heat and the thing wont come out. I thought the cotter pin was goin to give me more trouble. ;help

    Parking brake Q

    so would the anchor be for the top middle bolt? I'm removing the whole rear-end anyways to do a rebuild/clean up so the bearings arnt an issue for me. probably need to be done anyways. i'll be sure to take lots of pics. Maybe a rear-end removal how-to?

    Parking brake Q

    Hey yall, the PO took out the rear parking brake assembley for some odd reason so i'm trying to put that back together. I saw on Zip that theres an "anchor" so my question is where does that go? Everything else is pretty obvious to me. (Yes i'll get the AIM eventually haha) ;help :w

    Rear Brakes on 81' (again)

    no i just heated up the rim and started hitting it with a hammer. after a while it finally broke loose. just be careful not to overheat it. thats when you start doin damage.

    i'm pretty sure i had to use heat. could try to let it soak in wd-40 over night. just periodically check up on it and respray it. might work.
