    2008 ZO6 Upgraded!

Sounds like that car was on the rag. ;) The dyno shop I use at DEZ racing in Seekonk Ma. is called "The dyno of broken dreams." named by "Slohawk." It never gives anything away. If your making big power down there, she must be a real ***** minus the rag ofcourse. :L

That's excellent power and the torque number is huge. It must pull like a bast***! I'm thinking mild cam myself, I've lived with the big lope before and need better drivability and hearing this time around. ;) On your dyno pull did you happen to see the A/F ratio? I'm curious if you were above...

Time to upgrade that old C5

It's like a big snowball for sure. +500hp isn't enough once you get used to it. I'm only looking for a natural 600hp or so, but have thoughts of adding a procharger. 11.0:1 or 9.0:1 that is the question on compression. I hope to have this project finished by Carlisle. I'm sure I'll be seeking...

How are you enjoying it?? Nice setup for sure. Have you gotten any dyno numbers yet, and how is the fuel economy?

    Coilovers

Sure, just let me know how much power you want to make. I can get you there for sure, but there are also limits naturally aspirated 346ci.

    Coilovers

I like those for sure. JBSBLOWNC5 has a set on his car. To me that speaks volumes about what abuse they can take. :L http://www.corvettekillstories.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=6509&hl=coilovers Sorry no video.

I hear that Brett, but what about that ZR1, a car I would love to have in my garage. Nothing touches that either. :upthumbs

Why waste $$$ to make your car louder?

    What did you say??

N.J. is expensive for sure. I had no quams about giving up the Z06. It had alot of power and never got embarrassed by anything it ran against. I basically look at it as I'll always get another one eventually, but probably a C6Z the next time as a super duper starting point. Can't get much better...

There is a new crate engine coming out from GM Performance Parts, it's a LSX 454ci., but I haven't seen it yet. I'm starting to think it was a rumor. :L My build, L92 427ci isn't exactly small, but should get pretty good fuel economy. This is getting LS7 heads after comparing them with the L92...

Your assumption with the beating head is clearly not the case, but I'll forgive you for lack of information. :L I had two Corvettes, a 99' Coupe and the 03'Z. After 10 years of chasing money with my business, I decided to close the doors and go to work for a big firm to ensure I got a paycheck...

    New C5 Owner

That's for sure. I don't want a bra on the nose, but I don't know anything else that gives enough protection. As for the low sitting nose, I angle my way into alot of driveways, and try not to back out to quick. :L The spoiler scraping sounds alot worst than it really is, but just the same makes...

    Headlight and Pothole Problem

Wow Al, that must have been some pothole. I would listen to what c4c5 suggests for sure. In the meantime, I would double check the wiring connections and grounds. From what I recall, the harness plugs are huge with quite a few wires.

Katech Street Attack was developed with the same goals as my build. Here is what they say about it. The Katech Street Attack Z06 has been available since mid-2006, but since we are now a CF sponsor I thought I would sum up all the information for those seeking this unique and customizable...

I'm looking at a 10 second streetable build, something over 500rwhp that has some sophistcation, not alot of cam lope. The base of the build is an SDPC L92 427. http://www.sdparts.com/catalog/lsgeniiigenivperformance/crateengines/SDPC427ciL92ElToroGrandeShortBlockAssembly.aspx

The LS engines respond well to any mods., but a full second at say 113mph is a 165 foot separation. Given 18ft. per car, you are looking at 7 car lengths against an M6 in your case.

Run of the mill C5 is looking at 13's in the quarter and not low 13's either.

Haha, that is the trick. Quiet is very hard to do, but quieter than my old 03 Z with the Borla Stingers might be doable.

Yup, the M6 wouldn't be a pretty sight in the rear view. There are alot of fast sedans, and alot more power is starting to show up in them also. 500hp isn't especially what it used to be. It's starting to become more common. That 345 or 350hp isn't going to cut it anymore.
