I'm using the original wheels. Prior to doing a body off restoration (which is why I put the bias ply tires on) I was running either FR or GR70-15's (I can't remember which) on the same wheels with no problems and it handled great. I had them on the car for 10 years. The 205/75/15's I...
Thanks for all the info. I went to the local Costco and got some BFGoodrich 205/75/15 whitewall radials. Mounted balanced and out the door, $270. Diamondbacks would have been over $800. Since neither are correct, I went the cheaper route. Now all I have to do is to get used to the look of narrow...
It's time to go back to radial tires on my 1960. I know that a 205/75/15 is a direct replacement for a 6.70X15 but, has anyone put 215/70/15's on one? Would there be any clearance issues? Thanks.
Sorry Ghost, I didn't even notice your home town. I was born in Burnaby, 53 years ago today (Xmas). I'm sure you've heard of it. That was when there was countryside between New Westminster, Burnaby and Vancouver. Now it's all one big city.
I'm 6' 2" @ 200lbs and fit in my 60 just fine. If I remember correctly (highly unlikely), the seats were changed slightly for the 61 & 62's to allow a little more leg room.
You must be looking in the wrong places. Here's a very nice one that you could get for way under $20K http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/car/502106789.html This is typical of what I've seen.
I won't take your word for it. I've been using MSD products for over 20 years and have never had a problem. Sure there have been some documented failures but consider this, MSD sells 100 times more ignition products than all the others combined.

The reason I decided to build a Cobra was that Corvette projects were priced out of this world. I mean, $40K for a project car that would be worth $45K after a complete restoration, please. After 15 years of research, I bought a Hurricane Motorsports Cobra. I built a 351W that dynos at...
I doubt if I put 20 miles on my Corvette last year. Last year I built a replica 1965 AC Cobra. It's much faster, gets better gas milage, rides better, handles better, more fun and I don't care if it gets a rock chip or gets dirty. Plus, the local Cobra club members don't have the "attitude" that...
I don't recall anyone saying that. 3849852 is 57-66 283. I would bet that it has side mounts unlike your other block. Still not applicable to Corvettes.
