    Auto or Short-Throw Manual ?

I might add that automatic transmissions have been a big part of corvette history. The automatic transmission in a corvette still presents world class performance. JMO both great choices... so much so I'd like to combine the benefits of both for a Dual clutch sequential transmission.

That Grey color from the shots on the ZR1 look like a personal favorite and had it been available in 2008 I would have ordered it. Really sharp looking. JMO

If it handled, braked and accelerated like a c6 I'd buy one ....as long as it cost the same 46 grand.

    News: Corvette C7 On Hold?

the parties over. We'll be enjoying the c6 a little longer and thats ok with me.. Lightweight...more expensive with the same power as the ls3 sounds about where high performance is going to be for the c7. (and thats if we're lucky) big bucks too I'm sure..

    Question: NPP Option

John, Has given some very sound advice.. Go for the no drone corsas! The npp is kind of quiet at idle unless a person buys one of the NPP exhaust switches and even then...the drone under 2000 rpms can be annoying..For the most part I leave the NPP as a stock setup where it opens at 3500...

    Question: NPP Option

check on partshouse .com and see what Genes' offering these up new.. if you can't find them used.. The switch is on off and that would work for you (as little as 50 bucks..and the rpm senitive ones are probably double/ Good luck and if I see one for sale.. I'll post up on this thread..

    2008 vs. 2005

I had a 480hp modded C5 Z06 with 3.73 gears and I now have a 2008 C6 coupe with the Z51 and NPP exhaust and there is no comparision as to how much more I dig the new Corvette... I loved the C5 Z but the new C6 is a much better sports car for me.. 436 hp and tons of torque... Power all the...

Help! experience with 2008 Paddle Shift and 2.73 rear end

I'd recommend going for the 2.73 gears.. Unless your modding the car with 3.15 rear gears later on.. Personally I'd recommend going with GM's performance choice of the 2.73's.. I also like the Z51 suspension which I believe includes the 2.73 rear gears as part of the package with the Z51...

    Question: NPP Option

There are various forum vendors selling NPP exhausts.. Gene at GM partshouse.com usually has the best pricing... Then for a hundred dollars there are guys who have the remote switches for the butterfly valves.. Some even have the ability to set the rpm they open automatically at.. Its a...

You can contact TTP in clifton NJ. I believe they are doing the installs of C6 Huds for very little money. I'm sure they can also answer your question with regards to the C6 hud which I would believe is different than the c5 version. Good luck. JB

200 mph Corvette ZR1 runs 0-to-60 ... in first gear

I like it too Rob. When I thought it added 2200 to the cost of the car I was like? WHY? I realize its not 2200 for the clearcoat per car as described above. I misunderstood the passage. Some would say it would be worth the 2200 for that portion of the ZR1.. I thought at that price it was a...

200 mph Corvette ZR1 runs 0-to-60 ... in first gear

I have no idea how much clearcoat the Zr1 uses.. From the article it made it sound as if it were 2200 dollars per car...and I was like great car....but if its taking 2200 dollars to clearcoat the carbon fiber I'd just as easily have enjoyed a painted car with regular paint... ;LOL I'm sure...

200 mph Corvette ZR1 runs 0-to-60 ... in first gear

Great report! Great car.. I do have to check in and say they should have just painted the carbon fiber and saved the 2200 dollars in clearcoat to show off the carbon fiber.. Just my opinion but I think I could have found a better way to spend 2200 dollars. I think its too much to just...
