I've been reading this stuff and wondering how come my c6 Z51 in the freezing weather has been fine for me.
Granted it hasn't been deep snow just a few inches but cold and I'm not having any issues getting around in my vette..
The F55 is probably a great setup. Hell its in the NEW ZR1 ...
I appreciate the road and track piece. I especially liked the video.
Cars awesome! The lucky few will be gobbling them up at over 6 figures..
GM made a hell of a car..
Thanks
JB
The F55 is cool. A technological wonder! Still I am retired as well. I chose the Z51 suspension and its amazing.
Thats the one I would recommend. Its smooth and luxurious without a doubt.
Even my wife is thrilled driving in this new Z51 C6..
If your still undecided? Try all three...
Warren,
I'm sure its a great car. It should be as its a best seller. I just prefer to buy american branded products. Not a flame to you but rather stated as a personal preference.
JB
I hate to say this but the 2008 C6 Z51 convertible is so capable..I dont really see it happening..
Believe it or not....creating a convertible out of a supercar often happens when sales start to stall..
I don't see that happening to the ZR1 anytime soon.. (stalled sales might happen to the...
;LOL
You had me laughing..
I'm not driving a camry either! Now that new Malibu is a dam fine looking four door front wheel drive competitor to the Japanese "wundercraps"
GM's on a roll. Its products are better than ever..
I really have the AWD CTS to travel the snow which it does...
Thanks for the heads up guys.
I didn't realize there was that big a difference between the c6 Z51 and c6 non z51 tires..
Would you consider the non z51 runflats decent in the snow?
or would you suggest dedicated snow tires and rims for those with z51 ?
I don't really travel that much...
Thanks for sharing the article. I think it was a very very fair review ...
If the guy wanted to do snow time... he should consider snow tires?
Of course 3 inches of snow on the road is the limit but I hear guys who throw snow tires can manage quite well... considering its a 190mph sports...
A lot of the guys from Z06 vette have been talking about going to the early unveiling at the Detroit show..
I won't be going but look forward to the internet press releases rumored to be Dec. 20th. or thereabouts..
The BMW X6 being built at the SC plant is interesting if not exactly a sports...
Excellent review! Thanks..
I picked up a 2008 C6 Z51 with NPP on Nov 15th and its cool as hell.
Your absolutely right.. It cranks out the power big time.
I enjoyed reading the link and even though parts of it were over my head...
I'll go back and read it again and again till I...
GM could get whatever they ask for the low volume initial run ..
I'll take a guess and say 99,999 base price...
Just so they can represent value for what the buyer recieves..as a halo statement to the entire Chevy brand...
Considering it will smoke or run with a half million dollar...
Jim,
I've never been a big fan of all the options available on any car I bought..
Traditionally (and I realize I'm an anomoly (SP) I just order the performance options.
To me....todays vehicles even the 1lt is a luxury vehicle..
At sunrise this morning (6am) as my 11 year old autistic...
I paid 44,500 with all the dealer stuff included ...except tax and registration..
from Kerbeck down in Atlantic city..
I decided thursday morning to buy a new corvette... I emailed them..they shot me back a price....
I called and said I'll come down today to pick it up and they treated me...
I just bought a 2008 C6 Black Coupe with Z51 and NPP exhaust for 44500 ..
I thought it was a square deal out the door plus tax and registration..
I think invoice was within a thousand dollars if I took a guess..
Cars worth every penny!
What a blast.
Glad I pulled the trigger..
