I've read some threads that say if it flows air one way its good. If it flows air both ways then it needs to be replaced.. Also have heard its a good thing to check the plastic tubes to make sure the hoses don't leak.. If they leak the car will run lean or so I've read.

I'm not a big fan of OE wheels. I believe they weigh more than stock and that extra unsprung weight is not good. Make sure you go lighter rather than heavier .... I like LG rims he is offering at a good price better...(more expensive but worth it) Go with 18's all around as the best...
