    LT4 Attention LT4 Owners

At the top menu bar, under forums, then 1984 - 1996 there is still a listing for the 1996 LT4. It gives the following error message "Invalid Forum specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator" I also dont agree with doing away with the LT4 forum ;shrug

    Fans not blowing fast air

Ok. I cheated a little and just took the blower motor resistor off. Looked down inside and it was clean as a whistle. It was +90 F today and i drove a little, its not cold air AT ALL. I tried the AC, the circluating one, and even the one out dash and feet. All blew just hot air. The air does...

Fuel Info, Eng/Met, not lighting up

So this problem actually fixed itself. I was driving on the highway and hit a bump and those lights came on! haha :confused I'll still take some time to check out the bulb. Something must be loose.

Not to ask a stupid question, but where is the evaporator core? I checked my Haynes and Chilton repair manual, but didnt mention it. Is it near the radiator? Is it possible a pulley is looser than it should be?

Fuel Info, Eng/Met, not lighting up

I just noticed last night while driving that the 4 top buttons, Fuel Info, Gauges, Eng/Met, Trip/ODO do not light up. The 2 buttons below Reset - Fuel and Trip do light up. Now, i admit i was in the info center and console this past weekend tightening up some bolts, etc. But not it this top...

    Help! straight pipes

I have straight pipes from the resonator back. No mufflers. And yeah, its pretty loud driving, especially on highways. But i do have a nice sound at idle. Many more posts about this. I'm still undecided what to do, replace pipes, if should get muffler, etc.

    Fans not blowing fast air

I'll check the evaporator core for dirt, etc. I did notice one thing that seemed odd to me. When i was checking the voltage on the plug on the passenger side, i found that air was blowing up and out infront of the windshield (not inside). There is a vent there. Is that normal. The blower...

    Floor repair needed

Ok, Fusor and mat are on the way and should be delivered friday. I'm gonna give this a go this weekend if the weather holds up. The holes are bad and i can really hear the road underneath. Any pointers, i'll have to get some rubber gloves, etc. A roller?

    Fans not blowing fast air

I picked up one of those vacuum check valves from Pep Boys last year sometime because it had a big hole in it. My air was only blowing up out the dash defroster. That fixed that problem. So thats very new. I also didnt hear or feel any leaks along the little hoses. My fan does work. I can...

    Dash rattle found and fixed!

I just wanted to report this small triumph i had over the weekend. For the past forever since i've had my vette, i've had rattles and things in the dash. I finally took the leap and took apart everything. I removed the plastic piece infront of the speedometer, i removed the console, then to...

    Fans not blowing fast air

I pulled out the vacuum check valve and blew it out a little. It works a little better, but i'm still not feelin the fan/blowing as hard as it used to. It was only 75 degrees yesterday and in a 20 min drive it was terrible, so hot in the car and the fan was just not doing it. How can i check...

    Fans not blowing fast air

I've noticed recently that my fan is not blowing as hard as it used to. A while back I had some engine work done and my mechanic tightened up a squeak i had on a pulley. It was loud. How can i make my fan blow faster air. My vent one is not very fast, even the circulating one which used to be...

    Floor repair needed

So i'm going to order the Fusor Epoxy Bonding Adhesive Kit from Ecklers, but the link to the fiberglass mat says "These repair materials are not formulated to work on 1973 and later Corvettes with SMC panels." http://www.ecklers.com/product.asp?pf%5Fid=10713&dept%5Fid=127 Does that make...

    Roof leaks - Cannot find

Thanks all. I'm not sure about the smoke idea (i dont smoke). But certainly turning on the AC and air full blast and look for bubbles might be my first trick. I'm really at a loss. Thought i had it figured out, but it's far worse than it used to be. Well, now that its warm outside, i can do...

    Roof leaks - Cannot find

I'm at a real loss as to where rain/water is leaking in. The water drips in right at the rear view mirror. It also drips right from the driver side sunvisor. I'll make a right turn and water will come pouring out of there all over my arm and leg. Now... I have caulked the heck out of the...

    Floor repair needed

Thanks everyone. I've never done this before, so wasnt sure how difficult it would be. A friend at work has also volunteered to help me with this once the weather gets a little warmer.

    Floor repair needed

I've known this for some time, but did not realize how bad. The foot well of the passenger side floor is seriously cracked. See my bad cell phone pics below(sorry). It looks like damage from i'm guessing a lift many years ago i have just been reluctant to deal with it. Basically there is a...
