I don't doubt it's a Charger, but the tail-light panel seems 'recessed', similar to a '68/'69 Mustang, unlike the Charger immediately behind it:

.. ya can tell that's a high-dollar, well-funded team because the tire-changer has knee-pads...
also, note how-far the hub falls from the unsprung car (gap from tire to wheel-well) ~ nothing like recent cars
what a simple-time, hauling an open-wheel car on an open-deck, single axle trailer... and like today, they were still spending all the money they could get their hands on!!!
I recall Dale Jarrett telling Jeff Gordon "you do that to me ag'in, an' I'll put yer azz up'ere in 'at roller-coaster" , but I forget which track that is...

I love these old race-cars from the late 1950's & early 1960's, even into the early 1970's
I almost bought a '61 Impala that ran easy 11.40's in the 1/4-mile once, but was too-stupid, and passed-up the deal
