I want to thank everyone for the birthday good wishes. I finally recovered from Saturday night. Wish you all could have been at Wyandottes Speedboat Bar. Lots of teriffic drinks and food. My two daughters serenaded me using the Bars Karaoke which was great. I capped it off with my La' Apache...

It took me a long time deciding what looked best for me. And not wanting to buy several sets I settled and use 215-65R-15 black walls. The 70 and 75`s are a taste too tall. A friend has the knock-offs with narrow whites and 205`s and it`s not for me.
And you dont have to take the dash apart. Dukes picture is worth a thousand words. Maybe even more than a thousand. With this picture it will possibly save hours of unnecessary work.:upthumbs

You might try "Al Knoch Corvette Interiors" He is a manufacturer of Vette interiors and I personally Know that he has made special order door panels any way you like.

Apparently there was no cooling problem until the AC was installed with a 160 stat so therefore going back to a OEM recommended temperature that the above guy finally admitted is correct is not out of the question. Even a 40 year old pump that we dont know if its that old ran correctly before...
Ya, listen to this guy. Sounds like a Democrat good at spending other peoples money. The thread starter did everything he knew how to but obviously didn`t know a 180 stat is the recommended stat. The water pump proposal would be a waste of money, The only way it wouldn`t work is if the impeller...
All early model BB 396/427`s use the 44 or 45 XLS 3/4 reach spark plugs requiring a gasket to seal the cylinder. The correct plug for a 1972 454, 'IF' the heads have not been changed is a tapered seat plug such as R44T or R44TS extended tip without the gasket.
It may not even be a 454...
I saw the report on TV. A simple removal of a battery cable could have prevented this from happening. Can`t steal a car with no power. Thats how I leave my 62. With the Camaros, I also remove the coil wire. A little difficult with the 62 but still do-able inspite the ignition shielding. Just...
