    Help! exhaust question L98 1991

On stock L98 mufflers the exhaust only comes out one side on each muffler. I believe the convertibles and some later L98's rated at 245 hp had dual working tips.

    the cooler\st running c4

lol...When I wrote my response I was gonna say that I thought LTx motors generally ran at a higher temp then L98s.

    the cooler\st running c4

Mine runs 180 down the road all day long. My tuned chip kicks the fan on at 190. I've never seen the temp climb above 195 even when idling along in the heat.

    How fast...in the rain?

Instead of the RainX, every time I polish my car I just put a coat on all the glass too. Pretty much the same properties. Rain driving not so bad. Snow driving, white knuckle time. I tell people my vette drives great in the snow, except when I'm trying to take off, stop, or turn.

Help! Funky, soggy brakes on 88 C4

Also check the flexible brake lines at each wheel. As they age they will balloon out some under pressure causing a spongey feel. I replaced mine with braided SS lines.

    fuel pressure adjustment

    Oh....an '84. Please disregard post #3. :bash

    fuel pressure adjustment

Exactly right. The factory pressure regulator, is on top of the intake manifold base, under the plenum. It's non-adjustable. To adjust fuel pressure I recommend installing a Holley adjustable regulator. You'll have to remove the plenum to install it.

    MPG & HP

In simple form (which is appropriate for me), your V8 engine is an air pump. The way to increase HP is to allow more air to flow through it. Intake mods, heads, cam, exhaust, supercharging, they're all designed to flow more combustible material (air) into the combustion chambers. Unless you're...

    Brake Calipers Front C4

If the calipers are moving there's a couple things to check. At the bottom of each caliper is a pin held in place by a c-clip. Make sure the pin and c-clip are there and that the pin is not bent or broken. Those should be replaced from time to time and can be bought a reasonable price. The...

How do you set the anti-theft alarm?

The fuse panel for your TDS is located behind the Driver information center. Also a hatch and crank fuse is there .Requiring removal of the center panel of your dash. It's a 15 amp fuse.

How do you set the anti-theft alarm?

Yeah, my VATS system will go off for no reason from time to time. The Theft Deterrent System (TDS) is somewhat unrelated to the VATS system. The VATS works off a "pellet" in your key. If it's dirty or corroded, it can cause problems. Sometimes the VATS acts up for no reason and the only cure is...

How do you set the anti-theft alarm?

According to the owners manual. Locking the doors with the power door lock switch activates the theft deterrent system. ;shrug

How do you set the anti-theft alarm?

Hmmmm. I thought that was it. Let me check my owners manual. Be back shortly.

How do you set the anti-theft alarm?

I believe you merely need to lock the doors using the power locks before closing the door and it's set.
