Welcome to the best little Corvette site on the web!
To start out with, the L98 motor has a restrictive exhaust and intake.
On the exhaust side at the very least a cat-back system will help. Even better would be a set of long tube headers with a true dual exhaust.
On the intake side a cut...
I didn't watch the link, but isn't ABC the same network that was stuffing burning rags down the fill tube of Chevy pickups to show how the gas tanks could explode during a wreck? :eyerole
I'm not really for sure what to expect, although I think the largest gains will be in the 4500 to 5500 rpm range.
As a side note, I believe the factory exhaust is very restrictive on an L98. There's a lot to be gained at that end.
The EGR can be eliminated. I'm in the process of doing that now. Some folks report the car throwing a code and some don't. I'm having a new chip burned taking the EGR provision out. I've never understood how taking hot exhaust gases immediately after they leave the combustion process and putting...

You could give the guys in the link a call and verify.
After some research, I've discovered it's on the ECM up in the footwell on the passenger side. You have to remove a couple of screws to get to it.
In case anyone is interested. :beer
I'm ordering a tune from PCMforless and I need to find the broadcast code, Is this an easy thing to find? My car is in the parking lot here at work. Can I find easily enough while it's there or is some disassembly required?
Hey all,
I'm going to do an intake swap on my '88 L98. While I've got the intake off I figured I might as well change injectors too. I'm looking at the Ford 24# blue Top injectors like Southbay sells.
SouthBay Fuel Injectors
Will these be ok with my setup. Here's the lowdown on the motor top...
IMO, you're ok to let the tank run low (1/8 to 1/4 tank), but do not let it get so low that you run out of gas. The short period of time that the pump could be running with no fuel may be harmful to the pump.
So the question is...how confident are you in the accuracy of the gas gauge of a 15 or...
I recently purchased an Accel lower and some SLP runners.
I picked them up from the powder coaters yesterday.
Now I need to pick out some valve covers.
Cutouts are really mainly for the weekend racer. If you drive your car to the track it's a helluva lot easier to open up the cutouts then to unbolt and drop the exhaust.
