My AIR system is gone and my cats and EGR are soon to be gone. My car is not a daily driver and might only see a few thousand miles a year or less, so I don't lose any sleep over a few extra possible pollutants. No inspection in my area either.
Ok. My bad. I misunderstood where your caliper came lose at. There is an e-clip that holds that pin in place.
I usually replace it with a new clip whenever I do a brake job. They're like 49 cents a piece and very cheap insurance.
I believe the caliper bolts are installed at the factory with a locktite type stuff on them. A previous owner may have removed the calipers and did not re-install them correctly. I don't know off the top of my head what the torque specs are, but you should put some locktite on the bolts and...
There are some deals out there. I recently purchased an Accel Superram base, SLP runners and a ported plenum for $580. They're used of course. Going to get them off to the powdercoaters next week.
The tri-y headers are great torque producers, but I've heard nothing but complaints about that particular brand of headers. A lot of cutting, grinding and welding to make them fit. :ugh
Unless your restricted to shortys due to pollution laws in your area there's not enough adavantage in shorty headers to make it worth the money and work to replace the stock ones.
This just one guy's opinion of course.
If it's a daily driver and you're going to commute in heavy, stop & go traffic...your left leg will thank you for an automatic. If not, 6 sp is the way to go.
I'm a '88 C4 owner. although I have a few (:rotfl) years on you I've owned lots of cars and still have a couple of them.
The seats you're looking at are almost exactly like the Corbeau seats I mentioned earlier. Only yours are better priced.
Install them, enjoy them. If you have any more...
Classic corvette???? :L It's a C4 for cripes sake.
He can do like I do. Practically every original part that I've removed (and that's quite a few) are sitting in storage.
Check out Corbeau seats. I think the A4's will fit in a C4, but you should call them and do some measuring to be sure.

If you're old seats are kind of shot looking you can get some reasonably priced covers that are custom fitted to your seats.
I have Iggies seat covers...
I don't know if you'll find "perfect" fit headers. I believe in a '84 you'll have to replace the starter with a smaller unit. On my '88, some of the headers require modifying the alternator mounting bracket.
The closest you'll probably find to a "perfect" fit will probably be Exotic Muscle or...
