Communting in Hawaii? I'd love to have your commute. I've been to Oahu twice and I am itching to go back!:thumb But, how do you even drive 15,000 in Hawaii?:D
That sounds great. I will be glad when it gets cool enough to drop my top. These days I only doing it early or very late. I hope you enjoy your vette.:thumb
It seems to me that the price is a little high. I have a 2008 triple black vert that is 3LT with Z51, Nav, power top and NPP exhaust with less than 17K miles and I think its value is $38,000. I would pay $38K rather than $31K to get the LS3. To some the difference in the LS2 and LS3 does not...
Last September I purchased a triple black 2008 vert to replace my 2008 JSB coupe. This is a beautiful car but what I wanted was a JSB Z06.
If I purcahse another vette (this is my 5th) it is going to be a Z06.
If I were in your position Hib, I'd go with my heart (I think I should have done that...
I have seen threads about this on another forum. The people who have had them installed seem to really like them. I am going to have one installed in my '08 vert. Once I saw the extensive instructions I decided to pay a shop to install it.:thumb
I drive my '08 coupe daily. I replaced my OEM tires with Firestone Firehawks one year ago and I have enjoyed them. They are RFTs yet they are around $1,100 installed. This makes them affordable for DD use and replacement every 18 months.

This is great news. I had GS-D3s on my C5 and I loved them. Last year when it came time to replace my '08s original tires I bought the Firestone Wide Ovals. They are good tires but had I known that I could get D3 EMTs I would have gone that way.
I never experience any of those issues with my '02 vert.
Also, my C4 did experience some of the common issues found with C4s: Erratic dash, squeaking, brittle plastic dash and console parts and failed ECU (or whatever they call the computer on a C4).
I loved my C4 but the C5 is simply a...
No way you are going to get 50hp on an LT1 with just cold air intake and an exhaust.
I enjoyed my C4 very much. Once I purchased my 2002 vert I never drove my C4 anymore so I eventually sold it. To me that tells the story. The C5 was just a better car.
I do love the clamshell though.:upthumbs
