    Bad day at work

OK...picked up the car Friday night. Made it to the shop at 4:55pm-closing time was 5pm. I did a quick precursory check of the radio and door locks and such, and read the engine diagnostics and rear end check. Everything checked out ok. Checked all the lights due to being dark soon and they were...

    what other bose will fit?

What type of aftermarket radio did he put in? The biggest concern is the wiring and how he wired it. For greater ease, the Scosche adaptor is a must for the Pioneers. It also has adjustable ouputs to it too so you can "set" them if need be. Check it on Crutchfields site. Here's info from...

    Bad day at work

Yea.....kind of P***ed me off there when I saw that. IT was just plain unthoughtful and mean. Almost felt like getting even for that too. But, their day will come, I am sure. Cant change how people behave sometimes...can only stick around and wait to see what happens to them next. And then have...

    Bad day at work

Well..it happened last Friday afternoon, around 3pm. The beautiful sunny day went to dark, gloomy and torrential downpour in a matter of minutes. It rained until almost 5pm with SEVERE lightning and heavy rains. Hearing the loud thunder clashes inside our building, I quickly ran to look out back...

    what other bose will fit?

Heres what you can do: a 1994-1996 Camaro Bose AM/FM/CD player will bolt right in. No wiring mods required. Or, if you wnat an aftermarket, look for a Pioneer DEH-P47DH radio (AM/FM/CD). Can get one on ebay for about $150, as compared to the $500 wanted by Corvette America, Mid America...

Is this 1988 Vette worth 6500?

Seat covers rmtsteve: This website has good covers for the Sport seats for ALL Corvettes. It is one of only a very small few that have the covers for sport seats. I am ordering mine this weekend. The web site is www.iggee.com. Check them out. The price is $195 and there are a few styles to...

Is this 1988 Vette worth 6500?

Way to go!! You're going to love it!! Are you talking about replacing the headlight switch or the driving/fog light switch? Both are relatively easy to replace. As for the A/C situation, i just got done "troubleshooting" mine with the help of everyone here. Look under the C4 forum of "Techinical...

Is this 1988 Vette worth 6500?

rmtsteve- Sounds like mine I bought a year ago, except it is bright red. It had 84K miles and the paint has a few minor scratches. Mechanically sound, A/C is nice and cold (now that its fixed-explain later), seats the same, etc. Anyway, bought it at $7900 (appraised at $11K, here in VA)...

    A/C Blows hot air

brookman--looking back at your pic, I can see what gmjunkie is talking about for the clip....the pic was taken with the dashpad off, and looking down into the area, yes? If so, that will make it alot easier to fix than trying to do it from the underside of the dash...again, many thanks for the...

    A/C Blows hot air

Len, Evap line is EXTREMELY cold!! I could freeze my fingers to it. And, the lines do sweat at the compressor and going into the evap. When it runs, I could make icecicles inside the car--very COOL. I am just having a problem trying to trace all the vacuum lines too. The vacumm diaphragm...

Flat panel, breadbox, or something else?

Ken, for my 2 cents worth, i'm thinking a thinner bread box (not so deep/thick), and can flip up or down to get access behind it. The breadbox looks good, but its just to damn thick!! I still have mine (original) and its in excellent shape. Took it out so I could figure out how to do this. I...

    A/C Blows hot air

...still working it.... Ok....fresh start on the day. Went out and went over the fuses one by one. Every single one of them and replaced with new ones. Amazingly enough, when I replaced the CRTSY/CLK fuse, all the electrical came back for the a/c control head, the radio, courtesy lights etc...
