Next race at the Long Beach bumper car track !! Qualifying is super important on this tight, narrow track. I'm trying to get to this race........work related holiday ???? Even though it is very difficult to see the course by walking around. Everything is blocked by barriers. It's like watching...
Has anyone seen or heard of any new 1/18 CORVETTE RACING models by AutoArt or any high end Euro manufacturer ?? As you know we have no models of the 2007, 2008, or 2009 LeMans entries; or the white Ron Fellows car at Sebring or Mosport.. I've purchased 1/43 models of these but I prefer the 1/18...
Yes Miami can be exotic in more ways than one. :L :L
I like the OZ Wheels too. I would love to tour Europe in an American car like the Vette. LeMans would be a good place to start.
I am definitely aware of the "Sledgehammer" and its major aero changes from a c4 Vette. That is one of the reasons I am surprised by the relatively few body mods to attempt to go over 300 mph.
The interior was kept mostly stock with modifications done primarily for safety...
This is so over the top performancewise it's hard to believe. Can the aero be that close to stock and have open {not enclosed} wheel wells to achieve that mph?? Can't wait to see more about this project.
Me too !! But I really do like this blue. I wonder if they'll paint the cars blue again for LeMans to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first entry there.
I read the article in the magazine over the weekend. A nice car indeed and great pictures too. I would view HPE with some skepticism however until I see some current customer replies.
I had no idea their shop was so complete.
There seems to be a huge demand for c6 Z06 style flares here in SoFla. Many, many regular C6 cars with them on. And we have sold many custom 3-piece wheel sets for cars so modified.
No ...as I mentioned earlier in the thread, I was never able to own a Yenko built car. Only various parts purchased in Canonsburg, purchased or given to me at his dealership.
BTW.......next month at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale I understand a large number of the Yenko cars will be offered...
I just noticed this thread so I'll a comment. The L69 became the optional "hi-po" engine in the 1983 Z28. I bought one brand new from Burt Chevrolet in Denver. It was definitely faster than the base model, or the "tuned port" option cars then available. It was more than competitive with the...
I have 2 center console badges bought in 1970 [when I was a kid] from a friend in a Chevy dealer in Miami. They are the factory spec badges that were put on the console by the shifter from the factory for 1969 models.
One says 427 CID ZL1, One says 427 CID L88... they are "mint" put in a box for...
I'm kind of glad it's 2 American cars dicing it out at the 'Ring. This is a tired story, but tires alone keep the ZR1 back in this particular comparison. The new Michelin runflats on the ZR1 are the best yet but they are not low treadware Michelin PS2's. Maybe you can give up .4 sec at the 'Ring...
