Honestly, every time I wash mine, after drying the exterior, I wipe down the engine compartment with a moist towel. I get most of the stuff out and I get to touch my engine without risk of going blind.

Am using a yellow top with good results. I have had no problems both with the install and continued use. Heck, even while the car is in storage, it is far stronger than the delco.

What I did was purchased a 9 volt battery connector that fit into my cigarette lighter. I think I got it from Ecklers. Plugged in the 9 volt into the connector and plugged the connector into the lighter. Then I changed the battery. No settings were lost. :) Mike

Ours is not the question if, ours is the need to get rid of that battery. Some of the Delco's have leaked on to the wiring of the computers driving our C5's. The repairs are both very expensive and time consuming. It is not worth the risk, just get rid of that thing.
