    Help! Can You Identify?

It could have, depending on its size it could be a clip for your metal brake line where the rubber flex hose attaches. Parking brake cables sometimes use a clip like those. Just a guess.

    Help! Hard Shifting

Incorrect or mismatched parts, improperly surfaced flywheel, friction plate in backwards, are all suspects if there is no adjustment left.

C5 HVAC Problem. YIKES its hot out (and in)

If the ambient air is hot or warm, you will get that temp or hotter from the HVAC without the a/c working. Fresh air does not mean cool air, it only means that it is coming from outside the vehicle by the cowl which can be hot air depending on engine temps and ambient temp. Do all your modes...

    The lost corvette/history channel

I think it was a good theme, just that the Discovery Channel cut a lot of corners producing it.

    The lost corvette/history channel

Yeah, unfortunately it was bad. Fake drama and not a good quality build (ok, poor), very cheap. Adding a blower to a worn out C4 engine? You bet, that would be my choice.

    High Mileage Oil Weight

.5 qt in 1K miles isn't much for 190K. I doubt a heavier viscosity oil will help, but you could try it.

    High Mileage Oil Weight

I wouldn’t. If you want to switch viscosity’s I would do a 5W-40 but not a 10W for cold start up. How much oil are you using in 1K miles?

    Help! Power To Clock

Usually there is a plastic grommet that slides over the terminal insulating the stud and where it attaches inside the clock. Do you remember what was there before disassembly? If not rubber or plastic could be used, just make sure that the stud where it passes through the metal case is well...

    Help! Power To Clock

The riveted side (left in picture) is the negative side of the battery. The terminal with the nut should be the positive side of the battery. Make sure that the positive terminal is isolated properly from the metal clock base, the picture makes it look like it could be touching which would cause...

    Help! Power To Clock

With the switch separated from the wire connector did the lights go off? The stoplight switch should have just two terminals on it and the wires can go on either way. With the brake pedal in it's rest position the stoplight plunger should be adjusted all the way in and I usually adjust it so the...

C5 2000 Convertible both turn signal out

Try cycling your 4way flasher switch off on on fast for 5 or 10 cycles and see if they work. Make sure that the 4 way switch is in the off position after the test.

    Help! Power To Clock

Understood, sorry to hear that. Make sure that the stop light switch is adjusted so it is bottomed out to the lowest position of it's stop (all the way in to the stopping point). You could also pull back on the brake pedal with your hand and see if the lights go out.

    Help! Power To Clock

    1978 Pace Car Ignition Switch

I don't have a picture, but if memory serves me right the ignition switch is on top of the steering column close to the firewall under the dash with a long rod connecting it to the key switch under the steering wheel.

    Help! Power To Clock

Have you unplugged the stop light switch? 10.6 volts is low, you have a voltage drop somewhere, the circuit needs battery voltage 12.2-12.6V. If these are individual socket light bulbs check for power and ground to each with the park lights on. BTW, does your clock work now?
