Does seem like a backwards step in some regards. I think putting a Carb on these cars would be an interesting task. One thing I like about Fuel Injection over a Carb is that the fuel is always regulated. On a Carb the air that flows in and around the fuel can do some strange things sometimes...
Amazing
:ugh :W :_rock :crazy
That is just awesome. It's impressive to lay down those kind of numbers, now lets see that thing run on the road and go hunting. I do have a question though, anyone know what the top rpm is that they hit in the video? It sounded pretty high, higher...
Well, I know that for the LT1 engine that is pretty normal. Lack of cool outside air going into the radiator doesn't help much. So I am guessing that the L-98 engine is close to the same. You should have heard your secondary fan kick on. All in all, sounds normal to me. If you had left the...
LoL, you are really just trying to get some people upset aren't you? Maybe you should tell us some of your driving habits while in the snow. I'm guessing you can't use much throttle can you? And looking at that last picture, all I can think of is you need some white tires and you will blend...
Well, I used to live by them. It is not a company or anything like that. They are simply a group of guys that have been around, driving, buying, and selling Corvettes for about 30 years. I never got to meet them personally buy had a lot of correspondence with them while I lived in Bloomington...
Look at this, CHL becomes a Supporting Member and he thinks he can just browse in and out of every forum thread there is. You may have created a monster ;troll here Rob... You really should have stuck the the 300 supporting members limit:bash . Either way, I'm sure we'll all pay for this one...
What do you do to that poor Corvette Junkie? You think it is a 4x4 and go running through corn fields:rotfl ? Not a bad idea to clean all that out, but I am surprised that is only after 6 weeks. I cleaned my radiator about a week ago, I had about a years worth of gunk to get out :ugh
When I get back in the market for a Corvette, a 96 LT4 6speed is exactly what I am looking for. And Black on Black... couldn't get any better. Wish I could help you out by taking that beauty off your hands. But I would feel guilty bringing it to a new home with out a garage.
The amazing part to me is that it is still raced? "QUARTER MILE 12.90 AT 114MPH " How can an engine that looks like that even run? Isn't the whole idea for that item to sit in a mesuem and be admired?
As far as the Stingray name... the badging last put on the Corvette was on the 1976 model. Even though there was not much of a difference between the 76 and 77 model, the 77 no longer had the Stingray badge.
The only difference I noticed in a friends (90 auto) is that it has a little more pull in 2nd gear. It no longer felt like it was out of breath. Other then that I noticed no difference.
Switch to 6th gear? I would say when ever the car and the driver are ready for it. However, with that said it would be a good idea to see what the gear ratios are for that Corvette.
1st - 2.64
2nd - 1.78
3rd - 1.3
4th - 1.00
5th - 0.74
6th - 0.49
So as you can see, it is a good drop into...
Not worth it eh?
Well, from the consensus on here it sounds like this is not a good investment. Especially if Lord Vader says it's "crap".
Maybe this will be a warning to others not to spend the $100 or so for this item.
Thanks all.
