The real question we should all be asking ourselves here is.... Why is there a Callaway logo on an "igloo" :ugh cooler? Where did you find this Reuben? Also, if you hadn't heard yet Reuben... I'm moving to Columbus Ohio next week. Life Update
Glad to hear you had a good cruise. When ever I have a pegged sensor in the dash it is typically because of a loose or bad ground somewhere. For instance my fuel gage pegged one time, got underneath the back end and found the screw that held the antenna had come loose, also making my rear...
Congrats... I am sure you will have a lot of questions. Feel free to ask them, but you might want to use the "search" feature first before asking all your questions. There is a lot of material that has already been covered. Congrats again and I'm sure you will be picking up a "special" cloth...
Sounds like a great upgrade. Now that you have made the switch from C4 to C5... which one do you like the feel of better? I know there are many differences.... rather... what is your favorite part about the new Z?
They may not all have V8's under the hood... :cool
I have also been looking for a more modern Corvette with a 6 cylinder in it just for laughs... can't seem to find any right now :eyerole
E-bay is not a bad place to look for Corvettes and see what they are going for. I actually found mine on E-bay, however, I did not bid on it using E-bay. I ended up driving over two hours to go look at it, test it out, and then I made an offer and drove it home. I know there are others on...
The Corvette will cost a little more to maintain as the parts for the Corvette cost more. A set of tires? Well more then it would cost for a Cobalt. How about a new alternator? Again, more then a Cavalier. I am not trying to scare you because if I could I would love to drive a C6 daily, but...
Of course... just trying to stir up a little trouble. I do hope everyone has a safe weekend. There will be lots of travelers on the roads. And lots of explosives on the ground and in the air... keep your guard up a little, but enjoy.
Since this is an official C1 & C2 forum.... does that mean I can't post here? I'm so confused. Guess it also means I can't drive my Shark... hmmm.. like thats gonna happen.
You think they might take the engine and create a mid-engine body?
That would surely be different looking from the Corvette, and yet still be a Corvette. The only reason I believe they would stick with the Z06 body is because they already have it. I do not know how hard it would be to...
Hmmm... I was kinda looking for the stock mirror(s) (as it only came with a drivers side) but I wanted to have both sides. I like the big stainless steel ones. However, the 80's style is more "aerodynamic" right? How much for the two?
Outside mirrors?
If you are going to sell other pieces... do you have either of the outside mirrors? If so in what condition and how much do you want for one or both if you have them. Let us know what other pieces you have. Some of us will grab them up pretty quickly.
Welcome and what a sweet ride you have. Now if this is your first Vette you must be told about the Corvette Wave.
Save the Wave :w
Enjoy the grin, it will be on your face for some time :D
Hey Craig... I saw them work on it for a moment today before I had to go to work. I understood why they said 40 years once they said it on tv. However, on their website it seemed a little strange. It was nice to see them work on it though. Now if only I had their budget and their garage, I...
Pros: It's a Corvette
Cons: ???
But seriously... this one is really more determined on personal feelings. You really need to get into both types and decide what you want. A 78 is not going to have all the computer sensors on it like a C4 would. A C3 also doesn't have that jet cockpit...
40 years old?
Hey wait a second.... if I have a 1976 Stingray... does that mean it is also almost 40 years old? I never did understand math all that well. I guess since it is posted on the internet it must be true.
