Dropping the gas tank is a one person job as long as the tank is empty. Removing the mufflers makes it a much easier job. Just remove the spare tire carrier and loosen the straps around the tank and it comes right out.
I have the cheap Hayden clutch on mine, it has worked fine for the 10 years its been on there. You can try one of the Corvette junkyards on the web to find a nice used fan.
I doubt you will get a response from Don as this thread is 9 years old. Your 91 wiring harness will work with the Mini-ram. You just need to install your existing injectors and sensors from your the current TPI.
It should work great. You will definitely have to get rid of your single exhaust and install a set of duals to get the HP you want out of it. You may have some hood clearance issues with that Air-Gap manifold. The 2099 kit looks good with the roller cam(although it doesn't show the cam specs)...
Did the inside get wet? I was pulling through a weight station the other day and saw a 70 Chevelle convertible on a carrier with the top down. It was pouring down rain.

The Edelbrock heads will definitely outperform the old double hump heads but,is this motor worth upgrading? Instead of spending money on an unknown (probably low compression) motor, you might want to look into a new crate engine.
