Congratulations. I had a 1993 Torch Red coupe. Loved that car. I sold it to a friend who in turn sold it to his daughter. She still has it and keeps it pristine. One of the better Corvettes I have owned. I had the six speed which produced outstanding gas mileage. Always got around 29mpg...
Way to go Nut. You can never get a Corvette too clean. By the way, nice Vette. I see some Corvettes with wheel wells so dirty you know they have never been cleaned. You are to be commended.

The first thing you need to know is to join a local Corvette club. They will be the best repository of knowledge that you will need. Of course, the CAC is always here for anything you will need to know between meetings. Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to the Corvette community...
I use one of those plastic mesh scrubbers that my wife uses on pots and pans (no not the same one) with Simple Green to get the really grubby stuff like tar, oil, blacktop pieces, or anything else that doesn't come off with soap and water. Good luck.

First suggestion. Stay away from that Goodyear dealer. A new one should be around $375.00. Try to find a used tire with about the same number of miles on the rest of the set. That way they should all wear out around the same time. A tire with around 15 to 20K miles can be had for less than...
Rob, thanks for advertising this important fund raising program for the NCM. From just a dream 16 years ago to the now financially stable and growing museum we now have, it will take continued support from members and new members to ensure that our dream stays alive and thriving. If you...
Sounds like you are good to go. The new TPS would have a new O Ring. You are correct in your assumption that I was referring to re-installing an old TPS. With all the hassle of breaking down the tires, it is cheap insurance to replace the old O ring. Also, since you are installing a new TPS...
The one O ring is all that is used. Just be sure to use a new one each time. No sense in taking a chance since you already have it out. Happy crusin'.

Your dealer is right on. The new cards and their part numbers should be available this month. I have had the same problem on past C5s and all you can do is keep track of your mpg and distance traveled. On interstate travel you should get in the high 20mpg so plan on filling up after 400 miles...
These were a pretty big deal two years ago during the 50th celebration. They were in attendance at the many 50th functions such as Monterey, Camarillo, etc. I don't know how many were sold but the workmanship was very good and the design was very smooth and flowing. A really attractive car...
The 67 flasher was yellow plastic. The ones that I have look nothing like the one in your picture. The lettering is embossed on the top of the flasher and there is small "topnot" in the middle of the top. Interesting animal you have there.
Paul
Nope, you have the correct size tires. Sounds like you may have the wrong speedo gear in the transmission. A 20% error is more than just tires. A second choice is the speedometer itself. Good luck on the hunt.

Just remember, you are waxing paint, not fiberglass. The newer paints are good for about any wax, including the newer polymer waxes. With the older laquer paints, you should probably stick to carnubas. Just keep it waxed.
Paul
If it works for you, I certainly wouldn't condemn it. I've seen the results on some of my friend's tops due to mistreatment. The plastic tops are so touchy it pays to be extra careful. Continued good luck with your care.
Regards, Paul
Any cleaner wax has has some abrasives in it and over time you will get some hazing of the plastic. Treat the clear tops as you would any clear glass to retain the transparency.
Paul
Do not use the plastic polish on the clear top. The GM foaming glass cleaner is the product to use. Another product that should never touch your top is Rain-X.
