:-P ADD.......................... "Compared to CORVETTE VENDORS":W Schrade......Too weird you actually saved the page and circled the entries to provide "proof" then uploaded it! A statement wouldnt suffice?

Help! New owner - what scanner to use for C4?

And all this time I thought it was called "Pay and Pray" ;LOL Good job with the repairs...a slow reasoned approach does always "pay":chuckle...or not as case may be...

    trailering a vette

Tony, Probably a good idea since driving sounds fun! Sorry to hear we'll be losing yet another gun owner and voter :duh At least you're moving to a semi-free state. Check their weirdo laws about carrying in crowds/sporting events, etc...PA is so free.... for the moment anyway!:w At least in...

    Question: 1984 magnesium valve covers

Yes good advice with the primer! Which would even be nice with the stock color OVER the wrinkle finish for a semi stock look....maybe even yellow to match one's hat? :chuckle

    Headlight Conversion

I have them...sorta...I bought mine at I think Autozone 3 years ago at half the price..no more than $35 anyway. I've found them to be MUCH better than stock especially driving on back roads. My lenses are slightly clearer however...so maybe thats the difference? When adjusting I usually use my...

C4 Shocks Gas charged mono tubes or monroe oil ones?

Guess you never drove a 84 with Z51:chuckle I too have the Edelbrocks and they have improved ride with decent handling but are a bit less predictable than the Bilsteins. With Bilsteins I could better anticipate bump steer and warn my Kidney to brace for impact sooner.:boogie

    Spare?

If I did you could have one for sure...but Wouldnt it be easier and quicker to just go to Fastenal?:W

I have a idea for the factory Radio woes, I need advise from radio experts

This is a most interesting thread with a reasoned debate. Very refreshing! Interested in the final outcome even if its 6 years later!. I think you hit the nail on the head with that statement!;LOL Its odd though....the stock system in my plain jane Honda Element sounds WAY better than the...

    Question: 1984 magnesium valve covers

The Edelbrock or virtually any SBC cover will fit through early 86. Lots of centerbolt aftermarket out there for 86+ for that matter. I put the edelbrock on there years ago and am currently refinishing 82 covers on since I like the fin design better than 84+. Like vetteoz said they are...

    Almost lost my Vette today

Put a stop payment or charge back on your repair. MAKE the shop at least pay for a NEW part thats the LEAST they can do....and let them know they are getting off LIGHTLY!:bash

    LED Bulbs

I wish they had those from CorvetteHID before I did mine. My LED's all light up with parking/running lights... but their's have a cool halo effect and center only lights when braking. I'd trade if they came up with a custom set. I think it would be cool to have center led's in amber for a euro...

C7 Corvette Will Have a Split Window

:thumb NOT! An Extremely sarcastic wooo.....hooo..... they still havent designed a decent tail since the c4 as seen in those concept pics. They get it a bit better in the C6 but its still big, ungainly and stupid looking! GM designers give a nod to retro 10 years after they screwed up the...

News: LT4man Vette used to stop Lexus SUV!

Hope you recover soon! Let me guess...she said your car was so low she didnt even see it? A friend of mine was rear ended like you when in his Lincoln Mark VII....pre airbag...by a 18 Wheeler at slightly lower speed. He was fine and the car was repaired...so lets hope for the best!:w Since...

Just a Question on Charcoal Canisters

Really? I find in many ways they are BETTER than the FSM since they have pictures which was a great educational tool to a kid who at time didnt work on cars much. This was also pre internet and I couldnt come running to some website to ask basic questions. The troubleflow guides are still also...

    C4 Headlights

Sounds like a good deal. However, major auto parts stores sell plastic replacement lens PAIRS similar to HELLA kits for $20-$40. They allow use of euro bulbs and are much better than stock. True HID $650 at CorvetteHID, The Only True Plug n Play HID C4 Conversion For your fog/driving lights at...

    Interior lites mystery solved

:boogie In retrospect, I'm surprised GM was kind enough to label the lens. You'd think they would want people to bring it in for service!

Help! Having a hard time finding parts

Some parts are tough especially in good shape. Most of my stuff I found at Corvettes at Carlisle. If you order online you cant be sure its "right". You'll also find there are some subtle differences for the "proper" 84 parts such as texture and the proper 84 fuse door and knob. Even that...
