Ha! Reminds me of what a friend of mine said yesterday. Somebody recommended "lifelock" to protect his identity. He replied he hoped someone DID steal his...it would serve them right. In fact maybe he could give it to an illegal alien and then the IRS could garnish THEIR wages and his debt would...
What privacy rights? I'd say its exactly the opposite thanks to the "patriot" act. Oh wait, maybe you just have to be a jackbooted thug to get THAT info easily?:chuckle Doesnt make sense that a terrorist would want to find a VIN number. What good could it possibly do them? Its like limiting the...
Quality and price would probably be an issueas to whose to buy. One vendor has such a product for a couple years now. http://www.r-dracing.com/CROSS-FRAME.htm
;shrug
Its funny that you mention that fix though...saw aluminum foil "fix" at a car show the other day and in the short time we were by that car people were pointing and laughing it looked so silly. I guess if you do it well it may look good.
Some header tape would probably look better but...
Hmm...when you ripped out the perfectly good 350 would you then put the CFI back in hooked up to the 383? That would solve ANY reliability issues?;shrug
Any educated person would recommend a TPI "upgrade" for added performance and reliability to a CFI with problems they couldnt solve...dont see...
I think that this is even a common misconception that they require frequent effort to tune like the old carbs.
I've NEVER had to even adjust the CFI itself in 17 years. A couple new IAC valves a decade ago and that was it. I suspect that people monkeyed with CFI to try to increase performance...
When following the links previously posted....an 84 Vette MAY qualify!
Stupid and moronic! I suppose my 2005 Element that gets LOUSY mileage despite EPA estimates doesnt qualify because it can seat 4 people. Lucky if I get 20 mpg in my "greener Honda". This week when it was hot and I used a/c...
There does seem to be a "CULT" of leather haters out there. Too hot in summer and cold in winter.
Recently a pair of grey cloth went on ebay and I almost bid myself...but they weren't the Cloth SPORT seats, which look way more "techy" so I passed.
I wish there was enough of a market to...
BE CAREFUL if you've never lowered it in YEARS!
PIA! I bought my vette used and apparently in the 7 years no one had opened it much if at all. The first time I got a flat it was fortunately in my driveway. The blessed retainer was stuck VERY badly and without a manual I didnt really know which...
I've certainly heard they do that when the original is missing or damaged for whatever reason. Havent seen an Illinois one however and I find it pretty interesting so thanks for posting it!
Just from internet gossip and no practical experience it may be OK when sold in that state in future but...
Thats why PaulieB suggests getting led's first. We added led's and they are SUPER BRIGHT...no doubt with the blackouts they will at least similar to stock brightness and less likely to get you harrassed by the Gestapo.
I really like the stock red lights on your red vette...the colors are so...
Wet weather like rain? Probably right ...but humidity is a TOTALLY different animal! Keep in mind on an 84 the system isnt "sealed" like a TPI. Condensation in fuel tank and lines could be a big problem on ANY car. Heck, on a CFI it could be dripping water into the fuel mix right at the...
I vaguely recall reading somewhere that they are SUPPOSSED to last at least 80K. I also recall something in one of the owner's manuals about if it didnt that a FREE replacement was available from manufacturer...but not sure if time is a factor in that equation.
I am failry sure that it's...
I havent pulled an air bag in a vette...but I did in a pontiac and remember a warning about a residual charge even with battery dis-connected. There was an extra procedure with extra disconnecting under dash, static discharge, as well as carrying it away from your body even when removed.
The...
Relay location? It IS on the driver's side wheelwell. The stock 84 connector looks like the one in the FIRST picture. If your connector looks like the SECOND picture it is possible someone tried to upgrade the relay and screwed up the wiring.
In any case I'd personally ditch the auxilary...
