Fog Lamps On With Headlights Closed?

Well DUH...its fairly obvious that you need to have half a brain and wire into an appropriate "hot in run" circuit! There is also posted the logic and engineering behind how you safely CAN replace the smaller rated fuse if you so choose since its such a slight increase in draw. We're not...

    discount tire direct

They actually almost KILLED US!:ohnoes Bought a set of rims and tires for our other car from them. We thought all was well for many miles until we popped a bead! Thankfully it was at 25 mph and NOT 65!!! When we brought the offending tire to a local tire shop they discovered that Discount Tire...

    Manual: "101 Projects For Your Corvette/1984-1996" @#$%&*!

I'd just order a new one from a bookstore online and return your old one. The bookstore will get the $ back from publisher.

    How fast...in the rain?

Yeah because as we all know you have to be REALLY intelligent to be a cop...they know EVERYTHING dont they? :eyerole AS Jake and Elwood taught us Ray Bans even work in the dark and allow you to best elude police.....:cool Seriously, It does work depending on just how decent your sunglasses are...

Deputies using Corvette to catch speeders

I'd certainly dial 911 as well. THATS JUST INSANE! Lets start with baiting someone into racing is entrapment. Second, thats WAY TOO much car for most people. Combine that with the fact that whoever driving has no fear of consequence and its a recipe for disaster. :bash THAT CAR IF...

Question: What cars can we outrun, and what cars cant we?

I've said it before and I'll say it again...ANY IDIOT CAN GO FAST IN A STRAIGHT LINE! Vette is made for handling as well..... As for "outrunning" that could be meant to mean top speed as well:chuckle

    Ghost flames

Not sure I understand just what you want to know....but pretty much any custom paint shop does 'em...some great other's poorly. It all depends on the artist. Its not much different than painting any other color flames...its just a flame design in varying hues/shades of the base color so its more...

Fog Lamps On With Headlights Closed?

GeekinVette...the guy said he isnt good with electrical....your diagrams even scared me :-P Yes, 84 fog lights will only turn on with the headlight buckets up...dumb looking isnt it? EASILY Wire them to turn on with your parking lights and headlights down ...still switchable too :-) If its...

    Radio/car alarm

Dont know what you "cleaned"...but sounds like you just set off the alarm. Its not the radio clicking but the alarm relay located behind the radio pulsing to intermittantly blow the horn. Put your key in the door lock and turn to disarm the alarm. If driver's side doesnt turn it off try the...

Question: Will opening up an exhaust cause power loss?

Not really...I agree...any of those greenwood body kits (no doubt to what he was refering based on his anti-wing stance) are BF UGLY. Mechanical mods good..parts to make your vette look like a trans am...BAD!:chuckle :w

    Radiator hose brand

I guess you are looking to keep it as stock looking as possible? If not, why not buy something like "coolflex"? Cool Flex is the Radiator Hose that flows Very happy with mine. They look great, last practically forever, dissipate heat better.:w

    84 Vette on HD Theater!

I think they just roll the "profits" back into their budget. On the show they dont include labor costs becasue the premise is that you could do it yourself and thats what you'd spend. If you actually included the hours Ed spent they'd be in the hole each and every time! I thought that in this...

    84 Vette on HD Theater!

Tonight at 8pm EST (Tuesday June 30th) and rebroadcast at various times during the week) on HD Theater will be an episode of Wheeler Dealers where they fix up and sell neglected cars! I posted previously about how a CFI engine was used in one of their graphics...now I know why :cool

Help! the diary of a lemon

No you dont so dont let the shop try to ream you on labor. You just have to remove the COVER assembly. Easy... just like changing the air filter then just the rest of the air cleaner assembly PLATE surrounding the TB's.... easily unscrews. No TB removal is necessary :D

    SEATS

THATS just it...if it was warm and sunny like Florida most days and only rain late in day or at night we'd all be happy! Although by some sort of MIRACLE the only 2 cruises I was really interested in going to this month the sun was out!

    1988 Bose Stereo Replacement?

You dont HAVE to replace the Bose Speakers, you just need an interface. Its weird but for a year or so they didnt carry them and now I saw one the other day in a vette catalog.;shrug

Question: think this is a Vette?

Sure it is as long as it handles and performs like one...as far as I'm concerned thats the same way I feel about those HIDEOUS c5's and c6's!;LOL

    cat no more

I still think the smartest thing to do is hollow out the cat if one was so inclined to pass a visual inspection. Not having any experience with this...would it resonate? And would it then be wise to put a str8 pipe inside?;shrug

    Headers on the 84 CrossFire

Regarding the pump eliminator....I've heard its NOT necessary...just get a shorter belt. Seemed to make sense to me when I had mine apart to replace the pump. (I prefer keping it somewhat stock... and also fear our county may soon have emissions so I left it in):w As for headers...they used to...
