    Crankshaft pulley

I just finished pinning my pulley .... for a supercharger install... similar access problem as your pulley replacement. The following has to come out (in this order); 1/ Front sway bar 2/ power steering cooler 3/ disconnect the upper rad hose and rad overflow hose 4/ remove the MAF and air...

    C6 Manual Shifter Adjustment

Sorry, didn't take any pictures. Getting the console out is not that difficult. I found an installation note with pics on one of the sites that sells aftermarket carbon-fiber kits for corvette interiors (sorry, cant recall which site). Basically, there is a small plate on the console that...

    1.85:1 rockers

Hi; Anyone have any experience with changing LS2 rockers to 1.85:1 units? were the stock springs useable? did the car need a tune afterward? any dyno results? any emissions test grief? Thx eboch

    C6 LS2 sparkplug removal

Can't seem to easily remove the plug-wires from the plugs on this motor. Does anyone know if there is a special tool ... or a "trick" .... that gets them off the plugs without damaging them. Thanks eboch

    C6 Clutches

An update ... after break-in... I put a few hundred km on the Z06 clutch now. I have to say its smoothed out considerably. It's still "grabby" but the pedal operation is smoother and lower-effort .... more like the stock C6 clutch pedal feel. this makes it a lot more "driveable". eboch

    C6 Manual Shifter Adjustment

I've also seen comments about the gear cogs not be chamfered, etc .... thus impacting how first gear engages. I cannot comment much on these possible "design" issues. .... I can only speak to my experience. In my case, before I upgraded my clutch, I'd have into-1st shifting difficulty ~ 20% of...

    C6 Manual Shifter Adjustment

C4C5; ..yes I think I did this ... but more by chance than through planning (!). My shifter seems really well aligned now. I focused more on the clamping collar to the rear of the shifter control box .... where the linkage to the transmission is connected. I found a lot of improvements in...

    C6 Manual Shifter Adjustment

C4C5; ...you are referring to the "L" shaped pin at the front of the shifter control box ... correct?. Yes this has to be properly inserted to re-assemble the shifter onto the control box in the correct position .... but I did not see any adjustments associated with it. Did I miss something...

    C6 Manual Shifter Adjustment

Took the console apart and took the shifter out. The only place I could see any "adjustability" was in the attachment to the linkage ... there is a colar/clamp fitting to the rear of the shifter control box (pretty obvious when you look at it, it has a torx screw). This is the main connection...

    C6 Manual Shifter Adjustment

Hi; I recently changed the clutch in my '05 Z51 changed (to a Z06 clutch). As part of this, the shifter & linkage get partrially taken apart. This all worked out really well as far as the clutch is concerned. However, I now have a bit of trouble shifting into first (either at a stand still or...

    C6 Clutches

Got the Z06 clutch installation done. The installation was indeed found to be completely compatible with the C6 flywheel and the other clutch & driveline components... no issues at all, completely compatible (note my C6 has the Z51 option ... I'm not 100% sure that all C6s are able to use the...

    C6 Clutches

C4C5; Thanks for double checking this for me. Fell better about my choices now that I'm hearing the same config info from 2 [qualified] souces. Thx eboch

    C6 Clutches

C4C5; According to further research, my car ,being Z51-optioned, seems to be equipped with the stepped flywheel now and therefore can be fitted with the Z06 clutch. This was checked with GM using my VIN. This seems odd to me. If a C6 fitted with a standard clutch needs a flat flywheel...

    C6 Clutches

Thx for the info C4C5. I am replacing both the plate and the clutch ... so I am [obviously] concerned that this works properly with the flywheel. I have asked the shop to look further into the flywheel compatibility. Regards eboch

    C6 Clutches

C4C5; I am actually planning on using the Z06 clutch.... so we are thinking the same way. I have investigated doing this myself ... it's a little more than I can handle because I don't have proper lifting equipment for the rear end that has to come out. So, a local performance garage is...

    C6 Clutches

Hi; I am considering a clutch replacement in my 2005 Z51. The stock clutch slips a bit under hard, full throttle acceleration ... nothing major, but I find it uncomfortably "untrustworthy". Otherwise, I have to say that the stock clutch drives beautifully, has great peddle feel. Does anyone...

    CAGS Bypass Question

Here are some pics of the skip-shift eliminator (part is from Ecklers Corvette) installation. The first pic shows the stock CAGS connector on the transmission. The connection is above the casting rung ... it is actually tagged by the factory with a label "skip shift". Simply unplug it and...
