It's hard to understand what the problem is. Tell us more and maybe post some pictures.

Stiffening the chassis on a 93' Vert.

The verts have a cross-brace from the factory, which is where the idea for the aftermarket one (from RD Racing) came from. A few people have replaced the factory brace with the aftermarket one because it is a better built piece. I have the RDR camber brace and cross bar for my 94 vert. The...

What's best way to 'store'(save) tires n wheels?

Upright. Unstacked. Low pressure. Do a google search you'll get a million hits. e.g., http://www.yokohamatire.com/pdf/tsb-112102.pdf

Dana 44 capacity and suggested type of oil

The factory manual calls for one bottle of GM limited slip additive P/N 1052358 then fill with GL-5 80W90 oil. Takes about 1.5 qt of oil. Gordon Killebrew says we should use two bottles of additive, so most do. There is no gasket.

    Won't Shift!!!!!!

If it is where it belongs, you don't have to remove anything. Always possible that a previous owner did something stupid though.

    Edelbrock shocks

You might search over on the CF. They've been discussed there in the past. I put them on my 94 about two years ago. When I first put them on I thought they were the greatest - really helped the harsh ride, tamed the rear end sidestep problem so I wasn't afraid to drive fast on bumpy roads. A...

Rock Chips (How To Prevent Them?)

My experience on one of my cars, and with friends cars, has been that even the most expensive bras, used in the most anal retentive fashion (only used for highway trips, only installed after washing and waxing the nose, never left on after rain or dirt gets on it, etc.) will still damage the...

    Gears

Just take whatever your car turns at 60 and multiply by (3.54/2.59) and that's what your car would turn at 60 with 3.54s. With the A4 3rd gear and 2.59 is roughly the same as 4th and 3.54. Er, you have 2.97? then multiply by 3.54/2.97 instead and ignore the last part. What kind of car do you...

You don't need to remove the "snout." You do need to invest in a shop manual.

    Rear hubs or other?

The original seems to be around a 75-100k item from the posts I've seen on CF. Aftermarket ones reported failing in as little as 20k

    Oxy Sensor Question

All OBD2 vehicles have O2s behind the cats to monitor the condition of the cats.

    1996 left-side cat

Random tech shows the same part for 92-96. http://www.randomtechnology.com/chevrolet.html As long as you buy from somebody reputable then if they are saying it will fit your car, then it's their problem if it doesn't.

    1996 left-side cat

The picture on Eckler's site looks the same as yours, and they list it for your car. So what's the question?

    Oxy Sensor Question

I just found this same information on several sites: "Unheated 1 or 2 wire wire O2 sensors on 1976 through early 1990s vehicles can be replaced every 30,000 to 50,000 miles. Heated 3 and 4-wire O2 sensors on mid-1980s through mid-1990s applications can be changed every 60,000 miles. On OBD II...

    Oxy Sensor Question

There are 4 on a 96. On most of my cars I replace them around 60k intervals. They do gradually deteriorate. Some cars have really expensive O2s (like $200-300/ea) and those I just wait until they get bad enough to throw a code. On the 96, if you want to economize, the rear two do not...

    Crankshaft balancer removal

The original post (which is three years old!!!) was about the balancer not the hub. A regular old 2-jaw puller works for the balancer. That's what I used. For the hub, which I think you are talking about, you do not need the special tool, at least according to the book "How to Rebuild Small...

    ABS...behind the driver's seat

You can cycle the fluid through the ABS more quickly by taking it out and slamming on the brakes a few times to get ABS activation.

    Front Brake Pads $$$$!

Was that from the chevy dealer? They go for about half that at any of the usual discount sources. Just to clarify, I mean OEM AC-D pads.
