i have the stock 3.07's. i hoping to work a lot of over time this summer and get some 3.54's. however some people tell me it wont make a difference and get 3.73's. others tell me 3.54's are plenty. i do a lot of hiway driving out here in vegas. mostly between 70-80 mph. so i dont want to go too...
ok. i will leave the shift points alone. now concerning the engine tuning, if i skip it and go straight to the custom setup, will i still get the "optimized spark" and "fuel tuning"?
what do you hypertech users have your various settings at? i would really like to know what the best shiftpoints are. also i would like to know what temp the fan should come on. i have the 160 powerstat. i also live in las vegas. i would like to keep the car cool as possible. any other advice...
hey thanks for clearing that up. deep down inside i was wishing i had 2.59's so that when i get my 3.54's, i would notice it big time. got to put in a little more overtime.
im a little confused. i do have the g92 code on my console. thats why i thought i had 3.07's. so i have 2.73's, because its a automatic convertible. so the code g92 is different for coupes and convertibles? so confusing.
i heard that the performance axle ratio is different for coupes and convertibles. i have an auto and always thought i had a 3.07 rear. now i heard i might have 2.59's because its a convertible. i do exactly 2000 rpm at 70. any thoughts.
i got a question for all you guys running amps out there. is it safe to screw into the wall behind the drivers seat? how about into the floor of the rear deck next to the storage compartment? or should i use another method like double stick tape? i have a 94 convert and just got a new system and...
my guy said it was a pump within the tranny. now, i dont know much about anything but he said hes looking at 8 hours of labor. what do you guys think? is this guy jerkin me around.
im gonna take it in to my vette guy first thing in the morn. leak has slowed since i turned it off and let it cool. keep me in your prayers. ill post tomorrow when i found out what it is.
while driving home today i noticed lots of smoke in the headlights of the guy behind me. when i got home there was tranny fluid leaking from the pan and it had splattered all over the underside of the car. i guess it was hitting the mufflers. there was also smoke coming from the back of the...
use the smallest hex key in your tool box, put the shorter end between the button and knob, lower, and when you cant lower no more, turn the hex key so the the "L" is under the button. then lift. it takes practice. i replaced mine too. big difference.
i got a 94 with the same problem. i had all 4 tires balanced on that hunter gsp 7000 machine. did not make the situation any better. so my next thought was to get an alignment. i noticed the car was pulling to the right anyway so i did it. made all the difference in the world.
i heard that buying one of these second hand is a bad idea. i just dont remember why. something about the previous owners settings cant be erased. anybody know anything about this?
