I'm just wondering how many miles on the motor, if its a low mileage car what shape are all the vacum hose & plug wires, any carbon build up if it not driven much, could be a million reason. I would expect around 300 hp rwhp if it's stock. Got to hand it to technology. Hard to tune better then...

Just got my new Corvette Fever in and Midyear's (Dennis) vette has a NICE spread. Very Nice

I'm installing a ZL1 ram jet. I was figuring to run a line in the stock place but wasn't sure on the return line. I would like to run a second line next to it but I wasn't sure how to run it thru the frame in the rear. I have the body off but can't remember how much room there was where the...
Does anyone have pictures or suggestion what would be the best route for the fuel lines for fuel injection? I am going to run a rock valley gas tank.
thanks for any help or suggestions
Chuck
Thanks for the help!
I thought they replace the bushings, I guess I better order some new bushings too. Did you weld in the extra plates to reinforce the diff. crossmember mounts and if so any pics.
Thanks
I removed the crossmember from the frame but I have not been able remove the bushing from the crossmember, is there a special way or tool I need? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to get it ready for the powder coating shop next week.
Thanks
Chuck
Thanks for the info.
Viet Nam Vett,
Hows vibration with the poly mounts, I try the poly on just the tranny mount on my GN and noticed a difference? So I was scare to try them on the BB.
I have seen different part numbers for big block and small block mounts but I used my small block mounts to mock up the ZL1 and they fit perfect. Is there a difference?
Thanks
Chuck
Midyear,
I really appreciate the offer to help, another question also is how much did you shorten the manifold? I am wondering if it would be easier to raise the bulge in the hood then shorten the manifold. But I don't want the bulge to seem to high or out of place. Also I was thinking if I...
I hate to say it but that v-6 would have eat this motor up with hp & torque to spare while still get twice the gas mileage. But the big block has an impressive visual and sound value. And after thinking about it I thought it might be better to have a limit edition motor in the vette then the...
I would like to add turbos at some point and an automatic is better for spooling up the turbos. With a 5 or 6 speed you would probably be thru 2nd gear before the tubos spool up. Also I plan on keeping the IRS and with the automatic there is less shock to the rearend.

Grumpy55,
I choose the 200r4 over the 700 because it is alot stronger of a tranny. I have been racing Buick Grand Nationals for 18 yrs and the 200r4 can be built for around 1800 to hold 750hp reliablely in much heavier cars then the vette. (Buick Gn's weigh around 3800lbs) The 700 would never...
It is an expensive motor but I was shopping around and it was priced pretty good for what I wanted. I wanted an all aluminum motor that I could turbocharger. I checked with Bill Mitchell and they wanted 12,000 for thier alum. small block which had to high of compression, and I asked if they...
