Welcome to the site. Some of the members here are slackin'! They're supposed to ask for pics of new cars from new members. I'll pick up the slack and request photos now...
Tires are like sparkplugs. Just because they're new, doesn't mean they're any good. I bet it's the tire construct defect. I had this same problem with a Dunlop on my Harley many years ago. Hopped like crazy @ 44mph, smooth above or below. Dunlop, replaced under warranty.
I had to add insulation to my 2006 Z. It's an oven during the summertime and I don't like driving it. Sure wish we had "cooling" seats! My cell phone rides in the cup holder, until it overheats and powersdown. There are kits that help but don't "FIX" the problem. Maybe have the dealership...
GM has repaid all Gov't loans. It is no longer "gov't owned" in as much as being financed. Now, if you were to say "GM is owned by the Gov't via regulations and unions." you may very well have a point.
I guess it could have been worse~ Galarraga could have received a Porsche...(at least it put...
Here are my thoughts~
The best way to evaluate an exhaust system is to hear it yourself. Sound recordings are worthless as the electronic mics used today adjust for volume. (A gun shot isn't a "little pop, pop, pop!")

Tim, contact Betty @ the museum to get the particulars on your car build date. Also, contact Bearmans about when your engine was built. Call up and chat w/ Mr. Ross (@ Wixom) and tell him what you think of his engine. (They love customer feedback.);)
Betty can also supply you a buildsheet...
If you turn your car at all, keep an eye on the inside edges of your front tires!(A real alignment can fix this.) I'm on my 3rd set of tires @ 39,000 miles. No burnouts/drifting, but I do turn my car.
OP~ Here's what I would do~
First, I'd forget using GM for the roof seperation problem. Remove the roof liner from the framing yourself, go to a marine supply store and ask for some *epoxy" that sets up quickly. I can get you some specific part numbers if you'd like. This will retain your...
Sorry, I don't have any info on the additive package of the syntheitc oil. (I forgot which brand it was, actually!)
Can't even begin to tell you as the reason above. A "syn oil's greater resistance to oxidation" is additive dependant as these photos show.
"In the race cars, they try to set up...
Yes, the syntheitic oil varnished the underside of the pistons terribly. This could have gone the other way if the syn oil had a better additive package.
