    drivers side floorboard gets wet

Not an expert (definition of expert = a drip under pressure ;LOL) but if the floor is getting wet (in dry weather!!! - love that one JohnZ) logically it must be coming from the heater matrix, or connections to the same. The only other explanation, is that this vette is sooooo faaassstt...

    best suspension setup

Just an idea......... Sorry, I dont know cost of that size, but the ones we used 245/45/16 on the RX7 were $ 250 - $280 US each from memory (12 months ago), dependant on the dollar. I also must add the RX7 was only about 1100kg, in relation to wear factor, my 1981 is 1550kg, so might be a...

    best suspension setup

We have run then here on the street (not that large mind you), but we get our own grooves cut to S01 or S03 pattern by the local tire/race prep shop. (A Race or Rally crew is another option for getting it done for a small donation to thier race budget) Wear rate is an issue (5 - 7500km life)...

    81 Vert conversion!

Hey jrose7004 Like any vette with major body mods or customising, the price is really what someone will pay for it, based on the desire to own it. I have seen that you can buy conversion fibreglass, rear deck, hood bin etc from ACI still, so its not like it cant be replicated now (at a cost no...

    L81 Seat Belt & Retractors

Hey L48 Yes a Bowling Green 1981 vette. But could use from 1980 - 1982, I think those years are all the same in relation to seat belts? If you could keep an ear to the ground, that would be much appreciated. Having absolutely no luck at this end yet. :beer Grant

Hey 250rtone Have found another more detailed site http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Downs/3000/matchnos.html The only other thing I could suggest for a fast numbers check, is ring the NCM, and they have the ability to email you a build sheet for about $30. They offerred this to me due to...

    special suspension?

Hey black_81_vette The only way to know for sure what your vette was built with originally is the gas tank build sheet, or order a build sheet from NCM. You'll need your VIN number to get this info and a little coin. Link as below http://www.corvettemuseum.com/ Good Luck :beer

    Hood Induction System ?

Hey Ludigdrums Your hood is different (assuming its an 82), as it opens by solenoid at the front. The 73 opened by solenoid at the rear, from the high pressure point at the base of the screen, similar idea to the L88 & ZR1, but they were open all the time - yeee haaa! :beer.

Hey Vic From memory, mines on the drivers side head at the front. :confused Have seen them mounted into the bottom tank of the radiator to keep em low and out of sight, mainly on show cars, if this is any help. Question: How do you read the guages in the engine bay while driving, or is there...
