I would recommend going with a 180 degree. Mr. Gasket High Performance thermostats ARE Robertshaw. Summit sells them, and I believe someone said they got one at Autozone or somewhere.
I am in the same position. I decided to go with Energy Suspension Poly mounts. I bought them from Summit (actually bought the "kit" which also comes with the trans mount - but according to some people's findings you can't use it because it's too tall). I hear there may be a bit more noticible...
I've been running a Pertronix for about 3 years now with no trouble at all. Stock coil will work fine. You do need to feed it with a switched full 12V source. I ran a wire from my fuse block IGN socket to feed the Pertronix, Electric Choke, and Spal Control circuit.

Dig in -...
This doesn't look like a crisis yet at all!
Is there a seal behind that yoke? Perhaps someone forgot it during assembly. If there is, perhaps it's not the correct size for that yoke. It could be that simple.
They should definately address the packing issue, but if there was no damage (I would...
Drive them in CAREFULLY using a small hammer and the OLD races against the new ones. Move the hammer from side to side as you tap to keep them going in straight.
