    Low Fuel Light

Brad....since it's supposed to work off the same signal to the fuel gauge and the light stays on all the time (likely why the bulb was pulled); I would start be looking for a ground short in the Low Fuel Bulb circuit. I assume the fuel gauge works fine? I'd start here before going another...

    Radio assistance

Chuck.... once you have the four screws and the two from the conter console plate removed you may find that the entire gauge cluster is simply stuck to the sides of the dash. I also found when I replaced my bezel and radio that some of the dash trim will gete caught on then edges of the bezel...

    Power windows

No, no!!! I like the Velcro idea a lot. I have to remove the driver's side seat to get that panel off. The passanger side I can get to the screws without removing the seat. Great idea!! Let me know how it works and if you can keep the panel secure. I used to have a problem with my XM Radio...

    Power windows

Here's my take on the Power Window switches. They are a terrible, cheap design. Here's how mine fail and the cheap fix instead of buying new ones for $50+. With the switched removed from the center console, turn the switch upside down. You will see that there is a tiny circuit card on the...

    What is your "other car"

Hey Tom..... when I first took her to drive it she thought it looked like a "old folks" car. Then the salesman (who has sold me a LOT of Pontiac's over the years) started putting all kinds of boxes and suitcases (they used for demo's) into the back. That sold her quick. We got the Vibe with...

    installing true dual

Jeff..... Dave has the right idea about getting it welded. Since I have full length headers on mine the std aftermarket kits were of no use. So I had to have a custom set of pipes bent and cut along with a pair of Flowmaster Delta 50's. The fit is superb, and even a little higher ground...

    Wheel Center Hubs

1138..... did you try replacing the 3 set screws first? If one or more get rounded off they will never stay set. I'd try this before JB Weld or another adhesive idea. ......... nut

Corvette Action Center Loses a Valued Member

Over seven years I had the good fortune to have known Ken Stapel. Being another of the first few CAC members in the fall of October 2000, I began a friendship over the internet with what certainly seemed the ultimate Corvette enthusiast. Over the next few years as the CAC grew and events were...

Anyone have antique plates on their car?

Well we're all past new/old rules for Historic. I managed to get mine before the rules changed through a little slight of hand agruing with the MD-DMV and the old adage "the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing". ......... nut

Anyone have antique plates on their car?

I too have Historic plates on my '81. The registration fee is a fraction of the normal ($140) cost. You are then exempt from the MD Vehicle Emissions Testing and I'm pretty sure if you sell it to another person (in MD) ans they register it as Historic, Antique or Street Rod you are exempt from...

    2005 GTO or C4 Corvette?

I've driven the 400 pony GTO and it is a rocket ship. I've driven my son's LT-1 and he wouldn't stand a chance. A LT-4 would give him a run for his money, but those goats are one fast car. Handling has a lot to do with the driver. The Vette will always hold it's value longer and generally be...

    I May Be Getting Scammed

Thanks lt4man. My son will be more than happy with the LT1. Picks up the car tomorrow morning. He can barely contain himself. And to make it even better it's supposed to be 70 degrees (in mid-January) on the east coast and I'm sure the top will be out too. ......... Nut :D
