From what I can see in the picture....100 150 200 240 280. The tick marks without numbers are just the halfway point between the two numbered endpoints.
The oil and coolant temp gauges scales are not linear like the fuel gauge is, or supposed to be anyways......
Found three of them at Summit Racing, all K&N brand at $18-$19 each. I am going to check-out the local Speed Shop this weekend...I am sure they will have one.
As far as the Theft Deterrent Control Module itself....since I have not taken the one in the car out yet....what is it comprised of? Does it just have a few transistors, resistors, etc....or is there an ICs involved? Just thinking ahead with regards to fixing it, if broken.
Yep...the module is behind the passenger seat....I knew that....but since the area under the two doors is not separated.....
Checked the module and it is there and connected. I tried twice more to get the alarm to go off, but nothing. Ran out of weekend before I do anything else as far as...
Yep....that is what I have been looking for....just not able to find one a push-in that will work with the grommet in the valve cover. Like I said, the vent pipe has a 3/4" OD....and I have found everything but this size. I could cut the vent pipe I have...but I really do not want to do that...
Since I put the Performer Intake on my engine, the vent pipe between the right valve cover and the air filter housing will not fit very well due to the increase height. So I was thinking about goint to one of those aftermarket vent filter...the type that just pushes into the rubber grommet in...
Thanks....had it running for awhile...then decided to change-out the starter...getting tired of starter not working when hot....got one of those mini starter to try.....be putting that on Sat morning.....then it should be back up and running once again. Oh and I did fix the leaking oil from the...
I have not "looked" into the battery box since I replaced the ECM about 11 years ago, right after I first got the car. So you may be correct in that the module is not even there or is disconnected. I do not remember seeing anything disconnected when I R&R the ECM...but then again...everything...
My car does not have power locks, so what I did was like shark454 wrote.....left the window down, locked door passenger side door by pushing button in, then locked driver's door using key. Waited about a minute and then reached in and unlocked driver's door by pulling button out....got in, put...
I have tried locking the door with the window down and then reaching inside and unlocking the door....horn never sounded....and engine started when I got in and tried it.
How long does the system interrupt the starter?
Is there any indication that the system is armed?
I will admit that I have...
I know what the theft deterrent control module is supposed to do....inerrupt the starter...just have not ever had it do this. So I am wondering if it works.....so what is the best method to see if it works or not?
Is it as simple as locking a door with a key...waiting a few minutes....then...
Yeah...a leaking intake, although a lot of work to fix is not all that bad. I was reading on Corvette Forum about a guy driving his newly acquired 79 when the engine stopped. Several pages later it turns out that the engine is seezed or at least not capable of turning over. He posted a video...
Well....engine seems to be fine. Only have 7 miles on it at this writing. Did however find that I did not get a good seal on the intake and have a small oil leak....so the intake will be coming off later this fall....when the temps are below 100 F.....to try again. First time I have ever not...
Maybe some day I will re-install the AC...not at the moment though.
I was looking for the pressure sensor wire as it is also the same circuit that switches the idle solenoid on. I had switched the coolant temp sensor wire and the idle solenoid wire when I began my cam break-in and did not have...
First off I removed the AC some years ago and have no idea of the wiring now.
I know and have found the two pin connector for the compressor clutch.
I have found the light green wire that goes the idle kick-up solenoid.
What is missing is the single light green wire that is supposed to go to...
Yep...you broke....I mean Irene broke a wire. An open will show FULL.
Time to pull the console back out and check the wiring between gauges and the fuel tank.
I really have no idea of what the final specs are on the engine as far as output...no way to measure it.
I used the 70cc Performer aluminum heads, with a 0.045 thick gasket, -0.005 of deck height, flat-top 2 valve relief -5cc pistons.
I went with the VooDoo 602 cam with 1.6 ratio on the intake...
