    Vacuum line at FPR

That diagram I believe is for an 86, only posted to show the FPR vacuum hose goes directly to manifold fitting. Did you check the radiator shroud on your 90? A vacuum diagram for all emission controls is usually on a sticker posted there. If not try posting some pictures and I'll see if I can...

    Failed Smog test

High HC indicates you have a misfire, check your plugs, ignition wires, distributor cap etc. On an L98 I would ohm check the injectors as well. The CO may fall into line once you sort out the HC issue, good luck.

    Question: Water leak or not?

Nothing to worry about, if you check the service manual you will see the A/C compressor runs in every mode except OFF and VENT. The condensation you see comes from the evaporator not the condenser and is normal operation.

    Question: Injector problem?

Reply #3 is correct, the injectors should have 12 volts with the key on, the ECM pulses the injectors by switching the ground. There should be two injector fuses, one for each bank. Also ohm test your injectors as surfer suggested, on an L98 if one is shorted (low resistance) the ECM will not...

    re Toyota's accererator issues

The TPS would set a fault code and illuminate the MIL, the throttle blade is still connected to the pedal by a cable so there would be no runaway. Once the ECM sees a voltage outside of normal limits for a sensor such as TPS it is ignored, and the ECM then uses remaining inputs such as MAP or...

New C4 Owner, Tech Info Questions

The Auto Xray 6000 is a decent scan tool that will work on most OBDI and OBDII vehicles. A better option for C4 owners in my opinion is a used Tech 1 or Tech 1A, this is the tool used by the dealer when our cars were new. Dealers now use much more advanced scan tools so Tech 1's are...

    Replacing C4 steering wheel

Try contacting Chuck Pelton on the "other" forum, he recovers Vette steering wheels to look better than new and also does custom two tones, special stitching etc. His prices are a fraction of the specialty stores, you know who I mean.

    Question: C-4 Rear End Assembly

Unless a previous owner changed the rear end all automatics have the D36, it should also be etched on the bottom of the pumpkin. The easiest way to identify them is by looking at the back cover, see the illustration from the FSM below.

    Question: C-4 Rear End Assembly

Not really possible to answer your question without knowing exactly what is wrong with the car, my first suggestion would be to get a second opinion, preferably from a shop that specializes in Corvettes. Having worked in new car dealerships my entire career I can tell you that service...

    Question: C-4 Rear End Assembly

Some parts from the 86 are compatible others are not, you did not specify if your car is manual or automatic so first be aware that manual shift cars use the Dana 44 differential, automatics use a smaller Dana 36. The Dana 44 is stronger and some owners upgrade automatic cars to the larger rear...

    Question: LT1 Emissions Questions.

You are correct that the plumbing for EGR and AIR is the same between the EGR valve and manifolds or headers. The 94 and 95 PCM can set codes for the single downstream O2 sensor but I do not believe those codes will illuminate the MIL and since they are 4 digit codes similar to OBDII codes...

    Question: Grounds

Check book #2 in the Electrical Diagnosis Chapter, section 8A-14, Ground Distribution. Note that for ALL wiring diagrams location of components, grounds, splices and connectors are specified at the end of each wiring section. Grounds are specified with the letter G followed by a 3 digit ID...

ready to take the fuel rails off my 85'-opinion

Good point, if you did not add fuel stabilizer that could be the entire problem, I would drain the tank dispose of the fuel, change the fuel filter and see what you have.
