    Anyone seen these shots yet?

I think these will be up for some time, they're spreading like a rash, fast.

New C6 Pixs not a Photo Chop

I think that the pix are great. Finally a good look. I may be wrong, because I know nothing about these things, but I don't think that posting a link to another site will do anything to jeopardize the CAC. I think that there could be trouble if the pix were actually posted here. Greg :)

    No DOD

;stupid Agreed. More info will be nice on the Gen IV small block Chevy. I am glad to hear, however, that there is no plan for DOD on the Vette.

    Roof Rattle

Is there anything I can do to tighten up the roof on my car? More and more, especially over my crappy midwestern streets, the roof is rattling. Can I tighten or adjust it somehow? Would new weather stripping help? Is it something that I'm going to have to live with in a seven-year-old vette...

Car stumbles under load < 1500 RPM

My car is bone stock, but occasionally does the same thing. It is invariably remedied by putting Chevron's Techron additive in it. I usually put 2 big bottles (about 40 gallons worth) into a full tank, and the problem goes away fast. I've heard that the Redline and Lucas stuff is good, too...

No Displacement on Demand for C6

Goat is a guzzler A press release from GM today shows that the new GTO from Pontiac (with an auto tranny) will get a composite EPA fuel economy of 21.5 which will put it in the 'gas guzzler' category. The manual will get 24.8, which will be okay. At any rate, if the goat gets to get away with...

    Similarity to C6 interior?

M/T also has an article out on the GTO this month with several interior pics. If this is similar to the C6 it will be a dramtic improvment.

No Displacement on Demand for C6

;stupid The good news is that the GM press release said that the Vette engine would not have DOD. I agree, the Corvette is not the place for that kind of thing. I could, however, see outfitting an XLR with something like that. Anything but a sports car. Trucks, SUVs, econs, etc. I don't...

No Displacement on Demand for C6

I'm trying not to sound fickle, but I think it's also the principle of the thing. A Corvette, at least to me, should always, ALWAYS be running on all 8 cylinders (or all 10 or all 12 :D). I recognize that gas mileage is important to some folks, but to me the Corvette, especially the Z06, is...

No Displacement on Demand for C6

I got this from the media.gm.com website. "New engines, new technologies GM Powertrain is using SEMA to show off new engines and variants, including two engines with Displacement on Demand (DOD) cylinder-deactivation technology for improved fuel economy. By 2008, GM will have two million...

    December Corvette Fever:

Rocketblock- It's never, ever enough. We're not talking about putting 400 hp in a Camry for the everyday driver. We're talking about Corvettes. Corvettes need more horsepower. :)

Motor Trend on 3-valve OHV V8

Some other threads have already eluded to this, but this is a different source, so I thought it'd be useful. I was looking at the new 6.0 liter Ford PowerStroke V8 this weekend in a cutaway model that they had at the Kansas Speedway for the races. It has 4 valves/cylinder using a pushrod...

Motor Trend on 3-valve OHV V8

From the November issue "Beware, Dodge Viper and Ford GT. The 2006 C6 Corvette Z06's 6.3-liter Generation IV small-block push-rod V-8 features 24 valves and makes 500 horses at 7000 RPM. The Gen IV is the featured engine using a new GM powertrain technology: a three-valve/cylinder pushrod...

    Gminside News

LT, hope you're right, but I bet it ends up as either 400 or 405. Just a hunch, no facts to back it up, but it seems like they always end up just a little bit lighter on hp than we expect/want. The exceptions, of course, would be the midyear cars, the early C3's and the ZR-1. Maybe they're due.

    BKUPER's latest C6

I have no complaints about that image, but I do hope that the back end looks somehow different. I don't know how to explain it, but it somehow rubs me wrong. Maybe a different taper or concave/convex look would be better. Does anyone know how close this is to the real thing?

    All Wheel Drive Corvette

AWD is a little heavier, but helps cars like the 911 Turbo and Lamborgini Diablo get to the 1/4 mile faster than my car, and both of those outrun my car for top-end speed comparisons too. It's a great safety feature, especially on wet surfaces. Granted, cars can be quick and handle well with...
