    E4ME questions

Hi Paul, I'm not familiar with any larger jets availible for this carb. The 350 is the largest engine it was used on. If you changed jets the computer would compensate and adjust the M/C dwell so nothing would be gained. Changing to a smaller secondary metering rod is a good idea. Mike P.S. Hi...

    Edlebrock intake questions

Hi Johan, Yes, the intake will give you a small power increase since you already have headers. But not on the low end. This is a mid-range intake. The 2101 has no egr and no boss for one. The 3701 lets you use an egr but not the one you have now. You will have to change to a mid to late 70's...

    "Check Engine" light blues

Ray, If it won't flash code 12 it's not going into self-diagnostics. I would take the car to someone with a scan tool and have them see if it will pull codes before you do anything else. It might take some looking since the five pin ALDL was only used on 1981 Gm cars and 1980 California...

    "Check Engine" light blues

Hi Ray, Something is not right here. The two terminals side by side in the ALDL with a slot cut in the wall seperating them are the ones to be jumped. Because of the slot you can use a wide male terminal end to contact the two terminals at the same time. With the terminals jumped and the key...

    wiper and window problem

Hi Donald, To get to the window motor you need to remove the door panel and the access panel at the bottom. As for the wipers, make sure you have the plug on correctly. Check the ground connection on the gauge cluster and that the upper panel is making good ground to the cluster bezel. Mike

    More Brake Questions

82RL, There is a recall on the C3 calipers that have recently been installed by Gm dealerships. They are rebuilt by A1 Cardone. The ones you bought from O'reilley's are most likey made by the same company. Don't be fooled by the Oring calipers. They have their own inherent problems. There's a...

    Constant On Air Conditioning Compressor

Late '76 to 82 C3 use the R4 compressor and accumulator. The expansion valve was replace with a fixed orfice tube and the POA valve was eliminated. The compressor is contrtolled by a low pressure cycle switch on the accumlator to keep the system from freezing up. Mike

    "Check Engine" light blues

The ALDL is the diagnostic connector for the computer. It's under the ashtray in the console. There are five terminal spaces. Two of the end spaces will have a slot in the divider wall. They should be labeled A & B. Take a paper clip and jump the two terminals. With the key turned to run, but the...
