To quote Corvette Magazine (Oct 08 Market Report) "Mid to late models have seen no change in average price since the last C3 review last year. Again, this shows a direct impact to the slowdown in the US economy. Should the economy continue to falter at todays rate, we can expect these models to...

Here's a picture of the clip you are trying to get off, just push on the tab and it will pull out. Take the seat out and it will be MUCH easier. Without A/C, you can get it out from below. With A/C I'm not sure.
I feel your pain! Went through the same thing with my 71'. Think of it as a "hobby". All the Corvette svendors seel the windshiel frame parts since it is a common problem. Here is ZIP.

Your only hope is to find the build sheet. Reach up over the gas tank as see if you can feel a piece of paper. If so, you have the "tank sticker" which will tell you all about the car. It could also be under the carpet or under the dash. Good luck in your hunt.
Should have only 2 terminals like this one. Pull the seat out, 4 bolts and you're done, makes life under the dash much easier.

Buy the Felpro blue one piece pan gasket. The kit comes with some nifty plastic locators that hold the gasket in place while you install the pan (laying on your back). Put a small dab of RTV in each corner and you are good to go.:upthumbs
I agree with darkshark, aerodynamics of the car are not to good at high speed. Better shocks will help the ride, but check the suspension over to be sure the bushings are not just dry rotted from age.
Here some pics of one I found on the internet. neat looking ride but not made for high speed...
I installed them in my 71' Vert with no problems. You need the REAR belts from the Camaro.
This link may help you.

Now I remember, I had to make the hole in the trim panel bigger.
We're talkin Corvettes here, soooooo, since the hardest most expensive part to replace is the motor, then that must be it. But do what SR71' suggested and see if the window itself is the problem.
Also, buy the one piece (blue) Felpro oilpan gasket as it comes with some nifty little plastic clips that hold it on and locates the pan while you are trying to get the pan back in place.
This is a non TT column, but yours should have something very simular. The spring is inside the 2 plastic parts you see in this photo, then the aluminum pin sticks out the end and goes through the steering wheel to contact the rest of the horn clap trap.
Also check Jim Shea's tech articles and...
Yes, there is a spring (#12 in scan below).
Looks like it started in 71' cost you 9 bucks for a new one.
