You are correct. I bought 2 junk 76' TT columes off ebay to make one good one for my 71' vert. You need to find a hub (not easy) and the shroud that fits behind the steering wheel. Also used a smaller diameter steering wheel off of a 78' to give me a little more room. There are a ton of tech...
Yes, if you aren't careful and the piston comes to far out of the bore it can cock and leak past the lip seal. This is normal, but better safe than sorry. Check them out.
Give these guys a call. They have paint chips and claim they can match anything. I bought dash paint from them for my 88 Chevy PU. I sent them a dash part and they matched it.

I use it. Works great on darker colors. Both mine are red and it really makes it pop. I'm not sure it is worth the $$$, but I'm happy with the results.
Most common cause for this is to much rotor runout. This makes the caliper pistons move in and out while driving and suck air past the piston lip seals. Have your mechanic check runout and shim the rotor to get it back to spec. The ultimate fix is to go with o'ring seal calipers as they will...

The combo of angles will let you get the bolts tight. (forget the torque wrench!). Use the...
My "Corvette restoration guide 1968-1982" says P225/70R15 Blackwalls were "standard" same size with raised white letters was optional and an extra cost option was P255/60R15 and only with raised white letters. The option was available on any model.
Here's how to do it. Added them to my 71' Vert a couple weeks ago. Worked great.
