My 94 has one in each door and one behind the seat. The door pockets hold allot of things sunglasses are no problem, vey good for holding all types of things.
My 89 Bronco is my daily driver, I put a new engine in it a few years ago and replaced just about everything that could break on it. It is slow, gets nine miles to a gallon, but it goes over things and pulls things,
Towing with a short wheel based vehicle is ok with a short wheel base trailer, the longer the trailer is the more control the trailer has. I have a 16 foot enclosed trailer, I use for a tool box. (I also tow a couple of EQ trailers with all sorts of tractors, a RV, and a couple of other...
I change all of my oils in the fall, and then again in the spring, the vettes don't get allot of miles in the winter, I think this spring I am only going to change filters in the vettes.
I took my Vettes out for a picture, pulled the T-top out of the 85 and the threads where the bolt goes in fell out, Help how do I fix it? the piece in the grey pic is what fell out. I am thinking about JB weld
For sure the convertable is quite nimble and quick, but if one is trying to get the most performance the extra 500lbs is a killer. Although the 500lbs makes the converts ride much better. (also I am compareing the ride of my 94 to the 85 and many factors make the 85 ride like a tank) To me the...
After spending my new years eve and morning in the middle of nowhere, waiting for my buddy to bring me a spare tire he had in his shop, I must say a spare tire is really something to have and make sure it is ready for use.:ugh
It is very true I bought the white convert for Cruzin, and looking good, I bought the 85 for performance (and I like the Star wars dash of the early c4s).
I weighed the 94 convert with full tank and me and came in at close to 3500 lbs. then I weighed the 85 coupe it came in with full tank...
Wow allot of work, and allot of time but it is not my cup of tea, still I respect the work and the time spent. thankfully not everyone likes the same thing.
I put mine put up a few weeks ago (I super clean them, change fluids, battery maintainer and cover them) and sunday was the second sunny day in a row and my new girlfriend hadn't ridden in a Vette, so I pulled out the 94 put the top down had a great sunday and got home, just before it started to...
I am hopeing to add another C4 to my clan..... a 94/95 Zr1 in Blue, most likely next year as it is December 12. then it is on to add C5s. I am not buying them for investment, I like driveing vettes, I like looking at vettes, and I have no plans to sell them. all vettes are cool.
I think you did well, In july I bought a 85 for $5200 with 120k on the clock. the car is in super shape although the interior door panels are trashed. someone will always get a better deal, and someone will always pay more.
R134 doesn't do as good of a job as R12. but in the case of a convertable I think I would change over to the R134. the convert does not have the big glass rear window, so less heat gain, and a smaller inside space to cool.
the 85 has Magaflows, really on the quiet side, nice rumble, freeflow, sounds really cool when I back off and come down to the 1400 rpm range. I think it was in the $500 buck range for the mufflers and the tips installed at a local shop.
