    Rough idle after new injectors

Hmmm...Bosch yellow tops = 22#? I had a set of pink tops that were 22#. Maybe they changed their colors. :confused If they are 22#, you shouldn't have any problems unless one or more of them are leaking.

    4+3 OD woes

I agree, but it doesn't seem posible for the OD to continue working if the relay isn't there, which is the point of my question. I removed the relay. I thought the relay was the part that engages the OD. If it's not there, how can it engage?

    MAACO PAINT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've seen some pretty nice work come out of my local Maaco shop. A friend of mine had a black 1980 vette painted there and it was beautiful. I couldn't believe it. But I agree that each shop is different and you should do your homework with any shop you choose to do business with...

    4+3 OD woes

Suddenly had a problem lately with my overdrive not engaging on my 86. Tried switching the OD & FP relay to see if that was the culprit. Car didn't start after the switch. Conclusion...bad relay. So I removed the apparent faulty relay to get a new one and while driving the car to the parts...

    Rough idle after new injectors

What size injectors did you install? Is your motor stock? Did you drive the car to warm operating temps afterwards to reset the ecm. I usually disconnect the battery before I make any modifications so that on restart the computer can relearn the changes and adjust accordingly. I don't know...

Corvette Action Center Loses a Valued Member

Never had a chance to meet Ken, but was able to drool over his car at Irwindale Speedway one evening. I wish I had met him though by all the nice things that are being said about him here...You know he did it right. RIP

I would have done the same.:)

If you've got the gift as a photographer...

I like it. I think the car looks better shot in the open shade where there is good color saturation in the red. Bright sunlight would have made the car too glary. Notice the reflections in the side panels of the car...it adds some interest. Good composition too. The only thing I would do...

Composed nicely. Generally when the background becomes part of the subject matter you do want it in focus and should try to compose the main subject (in this case the Corvette) in the lower right or left portion of the veiwfinder. A rule of thumb that I use is to place an imaginary...

If you've got the gift as a photographer...

Your car looks great on grass. But the bright sunlight washes out the red and kills it. Also the background is just noise. It's in the way. If it were possible, move the car closer to the tracks and eliminate the trees. Not trying to be critical just trying to help. Also keep in mind that...

If you've got the gift as a photographer...

The shadows in this picture are great because they add drama to the image. Shadows directly below the subject matter are unflatering due to "high-noon" sun light. "67 Heaven" looks much better in shade or overcast days since the red gets washed out in bright sunlight...looks orange. Unless...

    rpm in 6TH GEAR - z06

I don't even use 6th. gear untill I reach 65 mph. The car seams happier in 5th. below 65. Otherwise it just lugs the engine too much & I've noticed slight engine pinging. Partly due, I think to Cali's low premium grade gas @ 91 oct.

    cam

Based on my calc's, if you don't bore the cylinders or resurface the deck, those pistons should yeild a 10.5:1 cpr w/ the 58cc heads.

    cam

Those are the exact pistons that were put in mine. But according to my calc's, based on 0.30 over bore, milled block deck and my 56 cc Trick flow Heads, I now have closer to 11:1 cpr. I used a couple of website comp. calculators (courtesy of "Grumpyvette") to help me determine my actual cpr...

You might take a better liking to the Crane # 114132 - 210/216 @ .50 & 400/454 lift. If I'm not mistaken the stock cam is a 202/206 @ .50 With that Lunati, you may not notice much diff. & w/ the Crane you won't have to reprogram unless you do a bunch of other mods too. At least that is what...
