    38 yr old Seats

US$ 600 for covers AND foam ? That sounds like a pretty good deal; I'v ebeen pricing today and and it everyone seems to be right around US$ 600 for just the covers; although I am talking about leather covers. If that Corvette America deal is still on I might just have to stimulate the economy...

Help! Corvette enthusiast magazine article wanted..

I'm pretty sure I can get that for you, but is that a two issue article on the re-build. Also, I think there was another even more in depth article in "Corvette Magazine" last year as well. I have both "Corvette Enthusiast" and Corvette Magazine" and would be glad to copy the articles and mail...

    DeWitts Radiator

Loren, Just curious - Did you paint the DeWitts to look stock ? And if you did, does that have any effect on the cooling characteristics of the aluminum radiator. I've been toying with the idea for several years about buying a DeWitts for my '59, but my current (copper re-pro) radiator is...

    Honouring JohnZ

Don't know you, never met you. All I can say is that if the man who patiently, concisely and comnpletely answers questions that must seem like common knowledge to a guy who has "been there, done that" from Day 1 is any where near the fine speciman of a human being he comes off as, the...

Help! C1 FRAME MEASUREMENTS - Help Needed.....

I believe that Noland Adams book (Complete Retoration guide - Vol. 1) will give you all the measurements you need. It may not be in print anymore, but there should be copies available somewhere. Bernie O.

    59 flywheel

Jose, I can't answer your specific question, but I can tell you that if you don't have a copy of Noland Adam's Restoration Guide, go get one. Lots of good information in there. Another good book to have is "Road To Top Flight". It's by (I think) Mike Iaffalandano. I am sure i severely...

Barry, If I go it has to be Sunday; I'm out of town until Sat morning and then have plans for Sat night around here. Depends on how I feel on Sunday and what the weather is like on whether or not I will go up. Bernie O

Barry, Yeah, travelling ALL the time here recently. I think I was home a total of 5 days in the month of July; I have so many different kinds of currency in my wallet I can't find any US$'s !!. So the Lewmon Pedge does it all, huh. Guess I'll have to try it; I was afraid something like that...

    Interiors

Barry, Long time no talk; what've you been up to ? Never heard the Lemon Pledge thing before, but everyone seems to agree. Guess I'll try it out on my leather (in the Pontiac, no leather in Corvettes......yet). What do you use on the vinyl (dash pads and such) ? Bernie O.

    1974 Horn Button(cap)

I'm not sure, but I think the T & T columns used a different horn button than the standard steering columns. Check out the parts catalogs; the seem to list separate buttons for T & T and standard Bernis O.

Help! C1 - turn signal & brake lights....

For what it's worth, I have the same problem with my '59. Took the turn signal assembly completely apart, clean and lubricated and put it back together and it still has the same problem. I'm getting a little frustrated and wonder if the problem isn't somewhere in the wiring harness. Bernie O.

    Interiors

Quick question: What does everybody use on their soft interior parts (dash pads, seat covers, dor panels, etc...) to combat sun damage and aging ? Some people love "ARMOR-ALL" and some say it's the worst thing you can put on the dash pads etc.... Any opinions would be greatly appreciated...

    Seat Covers

I'm planning on ordering leather seat covers for my '71. I just tried to order them on Corvette Central's web site and it was a PITA. I had the part #'s I wanted but there was supposed to be a "special coupon" that I got through on of their e-mails for fee shipping. COuldn't figure out where...

    Dumb Question

Mikey, Probably not. I do my part for saving the environment - My wife and I don't have any kids, thus I did not create any more polluters and I NEVER fly around in private jets ! (I'm probably really going to hear about that first comment, but, hey, that's the way I feel) Bernie O

    Dumb Question

Lagnaf / Junk, Thanks for the reply's; yeah, I didn't think I was hurting anything, but it sure does pump a LOT of condensate water out of the evaporator or heat exchanger, or whatever the correct term is for it. And I guess if I was THAT worried about how much I'm spending on gas I wouldn't...

    Dumb Question

THis may sound like a pretty stupid question, but ... Am I harming my A/C, or anything else for that matter, by driving around on these 95° / 90% humidity days with the T-Tops out and the A/C blasting ? Car is '71 T-Top with auto, base motor. Just curious; any insight is appreciated. PS -...
