We have been having fun with it. The only thing that is bugging me right now is that the car is leaving a few drops of oil and transmission fluid on the garage floor after a drive. I am hoping that this will not become a major problem as with time and use the seals will get better.

Greetings everyone!! Just attached picture of our 81. Has been up and running after being in the garage setting idle for somewhere in the neighborhood of 8-10 years. The old girl has 85K on her and she seems to running well. This is the original paint job and it looks pretty good.

WOW!! I never looked at it that way. She put me in charge of getting the old girl running again (the vette). The engine runs well after a couple of minutes of driving, so I am not going to worry about the timing chain. Thanks for all responses.

My 1981 has 84,000 miles on it and I am not sure if these cars have timing belts that need to be replaced periodically. I sorta inherited this car when I got married and there is no vehicle manual with it. If anyone knows the answer please submit. Thanks!!

It was a nice day on Saturday in Indianapolis, sunny and about 60 degrees. Had the old girl out all day. Made several stops, no problems. We get home and one of the buzzerS will not stop sounding. I don't know which one it is, it may be the seat belt buzzer or the key (Keys are in the house)...
